You will most likely feel a improve in responsiveness of the car. The exhaust note might be slightly different. Are you going to be increasing the boost? Assuming that you have a standard setup as is. IE just exhaust, intercooler and a few basic mods???

Jaustech. My cars been there the last few weeks getting HEAPS of work done to my track car.

They have gone step by step with me, kept me informed, and also let me know in advance pricing and so far, each thing has come in less than what they were expecting.

Very happy with their service.

Yeah Anthony is a champ when the current engine got put in my car I went there around 4:45 to check if he could chuck it on the dyno to make sure the tune for the old engine was good for this one also, he got me on within 15mins and even helped out with a very minor problem

+1 rep points

I got big blitz cooler, split fires, 3inch, n running 12psi on stock turbo (the turbo can't run stock boost, probably had different springs in it or something)

+ 11ty for Jaustech

Had nothing but positive dealings with them.

Anthony is a champ and a damn good troubleshooter for those problems you just can't seem to nail yourself!

So expect something around the 170-180rwkw mark :D

Hey just got back from jaustech, dropped the 32 off at bout quarter to 9 and had it back at 530 same day, that's including tuning it then finding out my fuel pump was rooted, replacing it and then tuning again. Disappointed in only making extra 25kw but made ton more torque so she pulls way harder now.

Over all extremely happy with service and dealing with the team members ;)

So already you have gained 25 rwkw with a shitton of torque. That's pretty good IMHO. Don't worry about the max power output, as long as the car "pulls hard" that is all what you need to worry about. As on the street you won't be using the full power anyway. Unless you hit the track :)

I've heard great things about Steve too, but re Boostworx - your list is rather large, and its not surprising that they might be wanting to get work out of the way before starting on a bigger job like yours. I would be surprised if anyone said that it was going to only take a day, as quite honestly some diagnostic stuff can take several days, and a full decent tune is not a 5 minute job. I've used Boostworx before and they've always done good work to my car so I've never really been bothered when they said they needed to spend more time on it - after all, a rushed job is no good for the business or the owner... quality work needs quality time. Sure you can take it to some other place and git'r'done on the quick but can you rely on that work? The poor man pays twice.

I know its a damn inconvenience when you dont get your car back on time but better to find a quality workshop that gets it right the first time rather than having to return multiple times. My previous workshop took 3 months to do a head gasket repair and refurbish whence they'd quoted 2 weeks - and at that stage it was 50% and I sent it to boostworx to get completed - incidentally they hadnt even started disassembling it so Ruby came and disassembled it for me, the champ that he is

Its not a case of more interesting work but more a matter of first come first served. Sometimes they just happen to get some difficult jobs that were booked out previously, that just happen to blow out their estimates and thats all there is to it. Shit happens

In either case, I'm still happy to use Boostworx, as I'm happy to use Wilall. Manta are 101% quality from what I've heard and I'm sure you'll be satisfied with his work.

-D

+1 to this. Couldn't of said it better. Boost Worx are excellent, great work, reasonable prices.

Last time I was there they were extremely busy. The garage was packed with 32's, 33's, supra's ect.

I waited 4 or 5 hr+ to pick up my car which was only getting a service.... And didn't complain.

Garages can be like hospitals, some patients/cars get priority over others depending on the severity of the work and how urgent it is.

My suggestion, stick with with Boost Worx, No more 'heat of the moment' threads, learn to relax. Quality may take time, unless you don't have time for quality? If that's the case... ******! Lol

Ash you asked whether you could name and shame a business in a previous thread and Steve kindly informed you that it's against forum rules...yet you chose to do so anyway.

The only reason you don't get a holiday from here is because it's the Festive season but consider this a friendly warning.

wouldn't touch synergy with a 10ft pole

out of interest why do u say that? An experience or what you've heard? I only ask because i went there after being told good things and am very unhappy with the end result.

^^^ They are a used car dealer .... which means they would sell their Grandmother or cheat her out of 50c if they stood to make a buck .... you should see what sort of cars they buy out of Jp and what they do to them to pretty them up, before selling them for top dollar to chumps here ....

careful chaps...don't like where this may lead.

These threads are always dangerous even with the best of intentions.

Nothing untowards spoken yet but best to nip it in the bud before the big boss comes in here and belts us all with his much bigger stick >_<:P

    • I believe Unimog is the only vehicle that has it (from the manufacturer). I haven't seen aftermarket permanently connected kits, but I haven't looked either.
    • Ha ha ha, can't overthink when exhausted... Oh how I wish I had that power! I can be absolutely dead set shot, and my brain will still go "we need a good 3 or 4 hours to just think about everything and anything before you may sleep... My biggest thing is making sure I give myself enough sleep. I don't operate on even 7 hours of sleep! I attempt to give my body 9.5hours sleep a night to be able to function. I don't sleep the whole 9.5, but I need to make sure I offer a big window. I also take a single supplement, which is to help with long term health, and fighting inflammation, and I notice it helps massively. Especially me sleeping, and just less "achey" in the body. Have also kicked sugar, and gluten. A majority of people with ADHD don't go well with gluten. It causes a really interesting natural opioid overdose in the brain, which causes bodily issues and sensory issues.
    • Yeah that's what I meant, permanently connected not manual
    • Yep. But typically that's just run a hose down to the tyre while stationary.   Oh and the Unimog will automatically air up and air down tyres from the onboard computer for you too.
    • There was a good video somewhere, maybe Kurzgesagt that linked physical activity to ADHD/Anxiety/Insomnia etc. Basically the body WILL spend energy doing something if you don't spend it doing anything physical. It isn't fun, but I personally have noticed I've never been overthinky, or unable to sleep if I'm physically exhausted from doing a lot. The musings around it seem to indicate that this is one of the reasons/mechanism that physical activity improves mental health/wellbeing etc, by more or less not using that 'extra' energy to overthink, be anxious, inflammation, etc. There's also the fact that every obnoxious exerciser ever says it's great and helps which is extremely annoying. Like people who say the same thing about travel being the best thing ever. I mean, they clearly are, but blah. I started doing a LITTLE myself (think 3x15min per week) and honestly did notice the benefits, aiming at life quality when older. Which is sooner than you think. Getting something into your routine that you can actually make a routine has helped me at least. This post brought to you by procrastination between sets.
