Chris is currently in the middle of setting up his new shop, probably got something to do with the lack of reply :P

And he can remove the headunit in give or take 15 minutes i think he had mine out?? but about an hour all up for swap over of a/c controls and install of new unit when he did my 300GT sedan.

Still got the stock BOSE unit from it if anyone is interested.

Farrrrk, he works magic. I assume it would take longer to fit subs and speakers though.

3 hours tops I reckon. The guy is great. Period.

Stop being soft, drive down here for the cruise and see Chris beforehand, if you need a place to stay I can ask the Mrs if you can use our sofa bed. :)

Damn, i am impressed. Tony we've been through this! it's impossible for me to get down there for that cruise, nor would i have the money for my full sound setup. Even if i did have the money, it'd take 3 weeks to get my JDM dash and head unit. Maybe when i do decide to go ahead with it i can organise a drive down to get it installed, but i will only do that if i can't find someone that can do a great job locally (chances of that are slim to 0)

And thanks for the offer of hospitality!

im still rofl'ing at the words "good music" and "trance" being used together.... but everyone has their preference. obviously electronic and accoustic/natural sounds require different setups...

and speaking of preference, it depends if you like alot of bass or perfectly level sound reproduction

the best sounding budget setup ive judged by far had a JVC head, VDO drivers, JAYCAR amps and cables, dynamat all over. No caps, extra batteries or upgraded alternator. ear bleeding and still crystal clear at 145dB

the number of systems ive inspected, judged, rated over the years that made me cry.... some people just refuse to acknowledge that their system is distorting.

Each to their own, been a fan of hard dance since i was a 14 yr old hektik sydney gabber lad. Not really but i love the music.

I do like a lot of bass but not like windows rattling and doors falling off hinges bass.. i don't drive around going doof doof doof.

I'm not looking for ears bleeding, i just want nice crystal clear bass with a good quality brand at a good price :)
