Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone here in VIC has a fujitsubo exhaust on their V35? If you do, come to the next meet! I wanna hear how it sounds in real life hahah, youtube videos don't do justice. I was thinking of getting the same exhaust, got a quote from Aaron@Import Monsters $980 landed!

Either that or the Exotic Speed exhaust.

From what i understand, the Fujitsubo is one of the more 'quiet' exhausts you can get, so while there may be some minor performance gains, from a sound perspective, it will sound quite close to stock. One of the Zclub members, Ana (Ms 3Fiddy) has it on her 350z roadster. You should pop by to their next meet to have a listen.

The Exotic Speed however, has more grunt in terms of sound. Was looking to get this but it was above my budget at $1,158 excluding delivery from ebay. Ask Shiva for his thoughts on this. He recently got one second hand for a bargain price on this forum :-)

My friend who recently picked up his V35 came with a fujitsubo off the boat. I'll make him attend the next Melb catch up.

Having researched, the fujitsubo comes under or right on the 90db threshold required by EPA.

I'm yet to hear it in person though, but $980 landed is pretty good considering conceptZ are selling for about $900USD before shipping.

Dan@Assaultech the vendor on the G35driver forums just got back to me and is only charging me $250 for shipping on the Exotic Speed exhaust! The exhaust itself from him is $700 and a Y-pipe for $215, although I'm going to be pairing the ExoticSpeed exhaust with the Motordyne XYZ w/Resonator. However the ExoticSpeed exhaust for the coupe model is around $850 and shipping may be a little bit more than mine. Okay, thanks Josh! Going to have trouble deciding between both exhausts :P

LOL yeah.. I'm just lying to myself ahahah

You will love it. I'm even thinking about top speed hks rep with magnaflow x pipe and test pipes. God damnn that'd sound mean. But end up costing well over 1k getting it modified and fitted :/

I'd post a photobucket vid of mine (nothing special just took it when I first installed it) but 36's sound different to 35's :P

The perfect exhaust for this kind of car, no ricey drone & a classy note on WOT rather than obnoxious noise

highly recommended

closest shop to me with a dyno that's all

Good call.

Sounds like the recording doesn't do your exhaust justice and even then it still sounds pretty good!

I just found out my exhaust guy has come back out of retirement so he'll be the one to work on the piping leading up to the Megan Racing muffler. The system he made for my Maxima was impeccable, achieving exactly what I wanted. I was just going to get him to swap the tips over from my stock muffler but I figure I'll make it worth both our while and go catback.

My v35 coupe has the fujitsubo legalis-r exhaust (no intake mods)

After listening to all the youtube vids, I would say this clip gives the most accurate sound if you can ignore the "burbly/popping" sound... the start-up, idle and revving (exluding the burble/popping) sound virtually identical to in the flesh.

The other thing is that it sounds nice and quiet in the cabin, which to me is a good thing.

That's the most important thing to me,

too many exhausts on the market just go for the sound on WOT which sounds awesome, but a droney exhaust on a long drive just gets annoying, i've been there & done that with my old r33

OP just get one, you won't be disappointed

Sounds great, really need to hear it in person hahah

Heyy Richard I just picked up my v35 few weeks ago and I think it came with Fujitsubo... I am not sure what exactly in there.. (Josh was talking about my v up there)..

I will try to come to the next months garage cafe meet. But If ur in a hurry PM me I am happy to catch up...
