Time for a wire in Link/Vipec!

Whilst I would love a G4 extreme there is no VQ25 base map, which means no cams. Link didn't want to help unfortunately, nor Haltech. Not enough of a market. I will have to wait until the VQ35 goes in then get the plugin.

So no hope of AWD manual without adapting a R34 GTR box?

It would require either extensive floorpan modifications or lengthening of the gearbox to space the transfer case out. Also the cut and shut bell housing. It would be expensive either way as you cant get a good box for less than $4k, this whole kit cost me $2500 including the V35 console.

The pallet is on it's way from Qld, should be here in a couple of days. :)

VQ35 is gaids unless forged. Is there something you feel the stock VQ25det isn't giving me Ryan? I thought it was doing pretty well... :P

I will be winding the boost into it now the box will take the abuse, 400kw shouldn't be a problem from the GTX3076 once the power leaching auto is gone. ;)

So go forged? Never any substitute for cubes... VQ25DET is going well, 400kW sounds good. But VQ35DET should be better :P

I'd argue that in a race car! Watched a rb20det munching away at rb26dett's on the weekend!

It would have to be under 3L for the class I want to be in, plus I want to see what the little VQ can do.

A VQ30det would be nice though, easy to wire in and tune too, but it won't be much different to the 2.5det in terms of drivability or max power imo.

Unfortunatly you are (we are) confined by turbo size. So, thoughts on that? All other factors being equal the 3.5 or stroked would still be choice for a track car and road car because of more useable power band and torque. That being said, your going to have to put a lot of effort into something like that, when you already have a proven lil performer in your hands.

I think on the weekend it became even clearer to me that big power does not maketh the fastest way round a track. But more usable power and torque and the ability to put it down efficiently does the goods.
