Hi all.

I dont have a skyline but a 200sx - s13. With RB30DET conversion, and I am now doing 4wd conversion. My question is, on a skyline when mounting the engine do you guys leave the drive shaft on the car? What is the best way to get the engine in?

Thank you.

Ronni

The reason no-one else answered your question, and why his answer was so helpful was that your question didn't make much sense. If you leave them connected to the hubs, they hang down out of the way and you drop the motor into the engine bay. If you remove them, you just have to put them back afterwards. The question seemed close to pointless.

I just thought that id could be in the way, especially the right one as that goes into the diff.. I did not want to mount them if I afterwards not would be able to get them back in the diff... But I can understand that the joint will bend so much that is not a problem? I do not have as much room as in a real skyline. My engine bay is not as wide.
