what a great day, had it all. challenging conditions and some sunshine at the end. I reakon thee was more nissans going around than rexies at the end of the day.

timing results will be interesting....

Yes interesting day, good for a laugh, no sunburn, windburn maybe! Really appreciate those standing out in the elements so I could drive around dry and warm in a car.

BTW, where will results be posted? gippslandcarclub seem to have lost their domain.

wrx will post them up.

I think they are just trying to suss out a few classes for thier own ppl.

seem there a few testing the boundry of the classes.

lucky everyone so honest in our club.....

So my fastest lap of the day.

messed up the first run thought the cross over ran wide on exit and was off boost going up the hill deff dropped a sec or 2 there.

and as you can hear I am in desperate need of a working diff.

that saidI got a PB is worse conditions to last year so I'm happy.

Seems official results up later in the week

they have a "very" rough version up atm

however I'm seeing cars missing eg Gott's 911 and seeing cars that i don't remember from the day eg a BMW 120??

anyhow they are looking correct for the sau folks.

So it looks like big congrats to Mario for smashing out a super fast lap on his last run, along with Jow and John for cracking the 66's

just imagine what we could have done on a dry day.

so katie took a "couple" pics

hmm nice steering wheel:

I had a few hours spare yesterday and came down to watch the middle three runs when it was pretty damp. It looked like there was a heap of standing water in most of the corners, which wouldn't have been much fun.

Good style points Richo, very entertaining!

The local car club have put together an awesome facility, what do you guys think of the layout?

well I've been ther for the past 4 odd years

every time I go there it better.

be it more curbs for the races

cleaning up of lines

plus the under cover viewing area.

all in all GCC are doing a awesome job

only thing they could do to improve it is give the land to me to turn it into my drive way....

The layout is awesome, highly recommend people get out there. It's not something you can master in a day, despite the ~60-70 second run.

Each event you are out there it's different due to conditions and then add in the configuration options of the course, its always challenging and rewards those that have a well sorted car/driver and are prepared to push the limit a little.

Even at amateur level it's great fun :D

do you feel lucky punk?

Haha, I literally just LOL'd sitting here at my work desk!

I absolutely loved the track. Was my first time there, and will definietly not be my last!

Obviously the wet made it tricky, but I love the guaranteed progress you make on a drying day like that.

Weather made things a little wild until last 3 runs for everyone, wish I did the 9th :(

A lot of first timers, a few people left early due to the rain, but people who stuck it out did ok as track started to dry after 4pm.

Figure 8, in either clockwise or anti-clockwise layout ftw.

Thanks for uploading pics, good to see my car's attitude from outside.
