I want to make my brake lights, both of the rings + boot lid all light up when the brake is pressed. Does anyone know how i should go about the wiring to make this happen? Diagrams would also be great :)

Thanks

Hardwire it to the existing brake lights. You would need to find yourself another light socket since I believe there is two currents going into the bulb when the brakes are pressed and the exisitng one for the normal light is only one constant current.

make sure you put an diode in the other light and feed the brake power after the diode... last thing you want is when you brake, your illumination goes on and off when you release the brake.

rear light +ve --> diode --> spliced brake light +ve into rear light +ve --> rear light +ve

make sure you splice after the diode, if not each time you hit the brakes the interior & parkers will go on LOL

I'm SO FARKING JDM not a civic or lancer I haven't changed a thing.

fixed.. hehehe...

as for the wattage difference, remember ohm's law at school, P = VI i.e. R = V/I

P being the power you want to be dissipated

R being the resistor you need

OR you could replace the globes to all match, but as your PM you're using LED lamps.. might be a small issue there.. also being LED, they might not dim the way you want them..

send me pics when you're done, I wanna see how it turned out :)
