Hey I'm wondering if someone can tell me what the meaning of the small red square warning light in between the oil warning light and battery warning light on the dash.

It looks like a box with pipes coming in either end and steam rising up from it.

My mechanic says it's something to do with my exhaust?

By the way my car is an auto so i don't know if it's related to this

Can anyone tell me if this is right?

It comes on when when I'm starting the car when it's really cold but when the engine warms up it goes off.

Thanks

Exhaust overheat, indicating lean mixture. It shouldn't illuminate unless you're really giving it some stick. If your cat has been replaced, chances are the sensor hasn't been plumbed in so it won't illuminate anyway.

ummmkay ?
