His asking way to much, doesnt even have a built motor.

Have you had a look at the car? I'm very curious about it, I have even contacted the owner and mentioned if he lowered his price I would consider selling mine to buy his ha.

I was in contact with the owner before I bought mine also, back about this time last year when he had his car advertised for 75k or 70k but was fairly stock, before a lot of the work was done to it now (I remember him saying if he doesn't sell it he was going to go e85 and aim for 400awkw haha)... I was really keen onit and said if I come down and offer between 50-60 would I be wasting my time, and he said yes, so I never had a chance to look at it.

Would love to know how good of an example it was!

I have the original Nissan R34 GTR full spec booklet from Japan. It is for all series 2 R34 GTRs from late 2000-2002. In there, there isn't midnight purple option for the exterior paint. However rumours were there are limited number of MP II/III r34 gtr from factory so I don't know....I believe if there was a legit option from factory, it should definitely be in the option chart for R34 GTRs. If any 1 can provide a Nissan brochure with midnight purple paint option in it from factory will settle the myth...

Too expensive for the car. Longz sold his for much less, like $45k?

And should get a mnp III. Much better imo.

Yea I inspected longz car as was interested to buy late last year, imo that sold for around the 45k mark for a reason....

I was still thinking about buying even though it wasn't what I was looking for (as I was doubtful another one in that colour was going to turn up anytime soon), but to be honest, I doubt I would have bought it even for 35k!

Just my opinion though....

^ In my experience when shopping for an R34 GTR, most instances you get what you pay for.

I wouldnt focus too much on 'model' or but more so on 'condition'. And when it does come to 'budget', a bit more money wisely spent now on a well presented, reliable example may obviously mean money saved later.

Depending how particular the buyer is, patience is a virtue which is great in this case as the OP is in no rush to purchase. Some of the cheaper examples have been for sale for quite some time and may raise a few educated eyebrows.

300 MPII and 187 MPIII produced from the factory cannot be a myth. It was considered a special order option colour. You could not buy it straight from the showroom floor but had to order it and wait for Nissan to paint it.

I agree 100% you have to be very specific about what R34 GT-R you buy, with cars like this there never is a rush as most people aren't buying them as a daily but usually as a weekender.

If it was a factory option, regardless wether you could buy it straight off the showroom, it should still be stated in the brochure. Or another way to confirm this is to get the colour code from the build plate on a MP colour 34 gtr and ring up nissan dealer, as they will be able to tell you what the original colour was for the car according to the colour code when it came out of factory. Or even give them the VIN of the car so can tell you if the colour code matches the VIN. That's what I did with a KN6 coloured series 3 R33 GTR.

I like I said, I don't 100% deny MP colour not being factory option but I'd like to see something evident enough to believe it rather than just hearing from other people.

Ar Thanks! I got the same book but its for all series 2 r34 gtrs. So in that case I'd say all MP's were from 99-00?

What a find Matt! If you find an MPIII one let me know!

Edit - just found it haha

This one? http://www.ebay.co.u...&orig_cvip=true

The MNP3 one doesn't say how many units unfortunately. Looks like these brochures come up every now and then; as soon as Wei said he liked to see some proof I immediately remembered seeing the MNP2 brochure on eBay ages ago - just lucked out that there's a current listing for one as well. Shame the brochures are so expensive but it's a nice piece of Skyline history :)

I have that hard cover brochure, the midnight purple info is on a seperate add on page inside the brochure.

I think theres a seperate nismo options page in there aswell, will have to check.
