Hey guys,

So Dad is looking at fixing hail damage on the 34gtt, and I figure it's about time for a respray and some new wheels as well.

Seeing as these extras are coming out of my pocket, I'd like to do it once and do it right, so I figure I should gain all the advice possible.

1. Roughly how much can I expect to be paying for a basic (not bare shell) respray? I've heard around the 2-4G mark for same colour jobs? Would it be a lot more $$$ to turn the standard black respray into a very dark midnight purple-pearl type job? (looks black until the sun hits it, then appears a very dark purple)

2. So far I'm thinking of getting Varrstoen 2.2.1 (te37 style) rims, but I'm thinking of going fairly aggressive in fitment. I want to roll and flare the guards out, but not sure how much to flare them? Ideally the fitment I want to run is 18x9.5 +22 front, 18x10.5 +22 rear. Would this be a +20mm flare in order to eliminate any chance of scrubbing? I don't want to run overly ridiculous tyre stretch either, thinking of 255's on the rear and 235's front. The other option would be to run 18x9.5 +12 at the rear.

3. Where would you recommend taking the car to get the guard and paintwork done?

I doubt it will cost much more then, do you have an insurance quote already?

If so go see the panel beater and ask the question

If you don't have an insurance quote yet go get one

I would go see naz at KMF (he only does quotes on Saturday) or the guys at prestige who did sins car

Get the insurance side of it done after that's done ask for a cash price on the colour change
