R31Nismoid Posted October 12, 2012 Share Posted October 12, 2012 Ali, those calculations were based on the standard tyre size being 245/45R18. I assumed these were the OEM tyre size as my car was complianced with these, but just realised that you are in fact correct, the OEM size is actually 245/40R18. My apologies !! And I think in Melbourne you are allowed a difference of 3% in rolling diameter. Ye a 45 is not factory for a R34, so hence everything you were told = not correct, as Ali has said. Anyway as part of compliance and what not there should be a tyre placard stating all of this on the car. Not sure then, how a proper tyre shop, would then get it wrong...
