Hi, I have searched and searched, and as usual with the internet, I have found conflicting responses.

I have a 2003 V35 Coupe, and have decided to get a Plenum spacer, and am interested in the Skunk2 5/8" plenum spacer. The problem is, that while investigating this option, I have found numerous posts on various websites, that say there is an issue with Bonnet clearance and the standard engine cover on the coupe, when installing the 5/8" spacer. Has anyone here specifically installed this spacer?

I have one. I kept the cover on and was able to close the bonnet BUT it does touch and rub. I then took it off to put my tower brace on.

I have one installed in mine with no issue, but I have removed the engine cover for normal use. I've run it with the cover since installing the spacer, from memory it wasn't touching. I'll have a look tonight to confirm.

So it touched your tower brace?

I have a stillen brace and there isn't much room already.

I was going to install the Blox spacer.

    • All of your suspension bushes/bolts etc, should also only ever be tightened when the car is sitting with full weight too.   IE, jack it back up, shove a heap of stuff down so you can lower the wheels onto so the car is "on the ground" but you have room to get under it.   It's why when properly done, you should be able to remove the shock and spring, but the arms won't go to 100% droop. If you don't do the above, you'll destroy your bushes.

    • These arrived today! Sadly I'm going to probably be smart and enjoy the car as is over the summer/sunny period and save the ~2 weeks downtime it'd take to swap the heads over and tune later in the year. Maybe. It's going to be pretty damn tempting seeing these bolt on funs just sitting in storage when they're ready to go. There's a non-zero chance I end up @The Bogan'ing it.
