Rb26 Garrett -5S On Vg30Dett

mate wanna buy garrett -5s on my rb26 to put on his vg30dett.

is it straight bolt on?

No, not straight bolt on.

If you were to make up all the custom pipework needed to do it, they would rock fairly hard though. My brothe-in law put a pair of normal 26 turbos onto a VG30DETT about 10 years ago. Was a very fast Z31 after that.

which side meed to be modified? manifold side or the dump pipe side? or both?

They simply don't fit. I think the comp housings are too large when tucked down on the original manifolds. Was a long time ago, so I can't remember for sure, but it was something like that.

They fit, the housings need to be clocked though. Along with actuator, oil/water lines etc needing modification its cheaper for him to go buy a bolt on kit from the US.
