Shuyin
I am looking for a tuning map for a R33 GTR running a Apexi Power FC. Will be using a laptop for the tunning. My GTR has had the following installed: Garret 2860-7 with HKS Actuators 9:1 CP Pistons 4 inch exaust from the Cat Its running stock injectors, fuel pump ect. I am just looking for a map that has the correct details to work from, obviously every car is different and needs fine tuning. I have searched SAU and while there are some great tips (Looking at you Paul), I haven't found any actual map files. Any help would be appriciated. R31Nismoid
People usually start with the base PFC map and go from there really Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/409107-tuning-map-for-pfc-r33-gtr/#findComment-6528922 Share on other sites
GTSBoy
Yuh, starting from someone else's "map" may be useful, or it may not. There are a sufficiently large number of other parameters that you have to set that will affect the maps that you might as well start from scratch. Shuyin
The mad scientist suggested that I get a map that had a 9:1 compression ratio, I've got 200kms to travel to get there so i just need a map that will get me there Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/409107-tuning-map-for-pfc-r33-gtr/#findComment-6529080 Share on other sites
GTSBoy
This is screaming for a trailer, not a 200km untuned drive. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/409107-tuning-map-for-pfc-r33-gtr/#findComment-6529120 Share on other sites
Shuyin
Thats is an option but a base map would help. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/409107-tuning-map-for-pfc-r33-gtr/#findComment-6529142 Share on other sites
Dose Pipe Sutututu
In my opinion, reset and use the base map, then just shave a blanket -5 or so degrees of timing and the car will be fine to drive if you don't give it any stick. As a safety measure, don't use crap fuel either. The higher the octane rating, the more knock resistant it is. R31Nismoid
As we said, the PFC has a base map. It's generally fine to drive on as long as you don't hit boost and stay under 3000rpm. DVS JEZ
I have an awesome idea..... Drive there with the stock ecu and stay off boost Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/409107-tuning-map-for-pfc-r33-gtr/#findComment-6529912 Share on other sites
Shuyin
And the different Compression shouldn't be an issue? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/409107-tuning-map-for-pfc-r33-gtr/#findComment-6529986 Share on other sites
Moodles2
People on here drive around with a stock RB20 ECU powering a 26/30 for example.. don't know why though. Dose Pipe Sutututu
And the different Compression shouldn't be an issue? Hence as a safety measure, just do a blanket trim of the ignition, however saying that if you're cruising about off boost then it wouldn't be an issue at all.
