Hi, im experimenting with electronic speedo conversion and have a question: can the speed sensor from r33 be installed in r32 transfer case??? And work without issues?

Like come on people ive searched this for a week now, with no clear answer!( At any of the major Skylines forums, i know for shure many did the 33 to 32 swaps and vise versa!?)

Thanks

99% sure you can but 100% sure your R32 transfer case housing fits on the R33 transfer case and the 32 speedo definitely works like that.

Did one last week

The only difference between the two covers is where the speedo goes in. The R32 has a taper on the leading edge whereas the R33 is flatter.

Both speedos fit though

Doesn't seems to be an easy task!( I started a thread in Classifieds both on here and GTR.CO.UK....

I was trying to find a Stagea AWD/4WD production numbers but couldn't really find them to be shure speedo is easy to find! But couldn't really find it eather.

Also was trying to find a Stagea speed sensor picture with no luck eather!(

good news, the navara from the same period has pretty much the same box, and an electronic speedo sendor.

Also, as with Dan I am 99% sure most of the 32-33-34 (except 34 GTR) senders are interchangeable. I have a navara electric sender in my stagea which has a 32 gtr box, and a 32 mechanical sender in my 32 gtr which has a 33 series 3 box

Hey Duncan, just to clarify i have an R32 gtr but planning to install a 1994 r33 gtr box, will the speedo drive from the R32 fit straight into the r33 box?

good searching :)

yes it will fit directly. you also need to use the 32's washer that holds the sender in place, or make something, but that is no biggie.

Cheers for the Duncan!, been worrying about that for a week and couldn't find the answer to it! :)
