Going Wakefield 14th September, you come. We'll see who shreds a gearbox 1st.

Eh, I'm all about roll racing now ....

a lot easier on the car than drag/circuit, don't have the money or willingness to break things like you do lol

My car is full of cheap non-NASA spec parts, hence can afford to push it right up to the limits and over too.

I'm sure I'm over speeding that Garrett non-NASA spec turbo, oh wells ?

Don't you need Samsonas to participate in Roll Racing now?

Got behind the wheel of the Don Mega S15 at Roll Racing

Scooted down the track for 5 passes then had to head off to work

Still getting a feel for the car as it's spinning tyres and I'm sliding around...

I definitely got the soundtrack right on this puppy!!!!

Must have got the danger to gearbox warning light.

What I find hilarious is that, everyones prediction was I'd blow the box....and funnily enough, the box is still absolutely great.

I think my cognisance relating to mechanical sympathy does play a part in the fact NOTHING on my cars goes wrong.

Meanwhile, everyone else is blowing 6 speeds and throwing rocker arms, I'm calling it that more "they don't know how to drive".

Good to see you got out there.

Mechanical sympathy and not shocking the gearbox will definitely help longevity. If torque/ignition curve isn't too aggressive that will help.

Apart from killing a Nismo twin plate in bumper to bumper traffic with stock turbos?

Clutch slip will protect a gear box so history checks out!

    • Hey guys, Just thought it might be of interest to owners of the RB25 det NEO motor, that awesomeness Nitto are in the late process to produce an engine gasket kit by end of Jan 25.  I think obviously there will be an 25det kit too. cheers, Ian

    • Shortly after I do the usual full exhaust/ fmic/fuel pump/ R33 turbo and still get flogged at the lights by i30Ns
    • Is Chris from Craved Coatings still around? He is an ex SAU guy and did great powder coating (back in the day at least)
    • Bumping this thread yet again, has anyone ever tried putting yet another vacuum regulating valve on the hose that goes between the turbo inlet? Something local owners have mentioned is the Radium breather pipes de-restrict the valve cover but it actually produces an undesirable outcome in practice, way too much air is sucked out of the crankcase and a ton of oil comes with it as well. As far as I can tell the PCV diaphragm in these modern euro wet sump performance engines is active during boost as well, there's just a check valve to block boost from entering the valve cover and crankcase as there's no inherent check valve function in these diaphragm-type valves. Hopefully I'll be able to try some of this out soon. The Volvo XC90 4.4 V8 has a nice external version of these things.
