Hi All,

Time has come for me to part with this Nissan Skyline HCR32 1989 Matte Black. I've owned it for over a year but I am planning to go overseas and cannot afford to put anymore time, money and effort into building this car into what I wanted it to be.

Goal was to reach 300kw and be a great daily as well. So close!

Anyway, THE GOOD:

Serviced 2,000kms ago with royal purple oil

Standard RB25 head with RB30 bottom - Capable of roughly 380kw.

Standard manifold

HKS Fuel Rail

550cc injectors

Aftermarket Plenum

100ml Throttle body

Aftermarket front mount intercooler from JustJap

APEXI POWER FC with hand controller

Aftermarket Turbo

3 inch custom catback exhaust with cannon muffler

3 inch custom piping all round

custom air filter piping

brakes machined and new pads

turbosmart street eboost controller

Volk GT-P 17" Racing rims

new Kumho Tyres done like 1,000km (not sure which)

I'll also throw in a set of chromes that was on the car when I bought it

HID Lights

Reconditioned rb20 Gearbox

new slave and master cylinder

The interior was done last year with suede ceiling and looks great!

Momo steering wheel

Standard Diff.

All oil levels have been checked and are all full and healthy.

power windows

sound system

boost gauge

original skyline mats

momo gear knob

turbo timer

The car is registered until 31st December 2012. The car has also been blue slipped with the new engine in last year.

THE BAD:

Turbo is in good condition, but is internally gated. Needs external wastegate to produce easy 250kw. Was running 18psi but it is now limited to 10psi @ 220kw and is safe to drive as is, there is almost no knock in the engine which is really good.

Power steering fluid leaking really slowly.

Broke off the door mirror accidently. I have it on with some glue and tape atm couldn't find time to replace.

The car is painted in Plastidip. For those who don't know what that is, please go on youtube and watch it. The car looks amazing in Matte black, but I need to spray on another coat for the car to look perfect.

Chassis has done 218xxx kms, but body of the car is very straight and rigid.

two little chips on the windscreen. Done the O'Brien window repair on them so it is safe.

If you choose to push the car any further than 250kw, you should consider a rb25 gearbox and a stronger diff. But you should be more than satisfied with its current performance.

Couldn't find time to go and buy an oil catch can and install it, not urgent but good idea to get one asap.

I had great drives and cruises with this car, never did anything to hurt it or ruin anything. Really don't want to sell this and I really did want to make this special. Investments in the future are more important for me atm but I wish to do this all over again.

In total, I bought the car last year for $10,000, spent over $8,500 on rego, mechanics, etc and just needed to spend a few thousand more to get it to be one lethal car. Highways have pulled me over three times and did not defect me, and I can provide roadworthy if needed.

I really need to get rid of this ASAP, so I'm not going any lower than $8,000. Please don't bother low-balling me, as I am sick and tired of getting stupid offers from people. I know what this car is capable of and I will price it accordingly. Road legal, not loud, flashy and attention seeking. Great car and I will miss it.

Hi,

Just came to mind, a few more things I could mention

NO air con - works but blows hot air due to no compressor. space needed to fit the radiator in but I think it is possible to get it back on there and working.

Excedy Heavy duty clutch installed few months ago, grips all gears perfect no slip

Short shifter

Splitfire yellow jacket coilpacks

K & N filter, old, needs to be changed

Tuned to run safe at 10psi.

Wheel balance and alignment done 500kms ago as well

It has an aftermarket chinese turbo fitted. It runs fine at 16psi, but the actuator is in a bad position. This leaves a kink in the hosing to the boost controller and there is a spike at higher revs up to about 20psi.

There is almost no engine knock at full revs, but a new turbo is preferred for this to push easy 260kw+

I limited it to a safe 215kw for the time being so it is driveable.

Car is up on eBay and has one day left. I need the money guys please bid

Hey all,

Just got back from America....Had a great time there at a cost so I'm trying to get a little bit of money asap.

$4,500 ono, no rego. Please give me a buzz if interested.

Really disappointed with skyline enthusiasts :(

Last chance to pick this up by the end of the month for $4,000 firm. I picked up my motorbike for that amount and can't go any lower as I want to pay it off now.

Everything works and it is an amazing car to have. Can be regoed, if not, used as a track car or drifter.

IF I can't sell it by the end of the month, Ill be bothered to start stripping parts off and selling it separately. I'm sure to make more money that way but I'm just not bothered honestly, so grab a bargain guys!

    • I've owned a few scooters over the years, a Vespa PX oil burner was my first scooter, followed by a few others, including a little 50cc BeeWee that I used as a barracks bike, and I've had a blast on all of them, they really are the cheapest for of city/suburb transport around The only issue with scooters in Australia is lots of people look down on them due to their size,  maybe they need a big bike to make up for something else where they are lacking, unlike Europe and Asia where every man an their dog owns one, and now that filtering is legal in NSW, local traffic is never a issue Not to say I haven't owned my share of big cc bikes over the years, but they were for more blasting through the hills or Hwy riding where it needed to sit on Hwy speeds Safety wise, I ride like everyone is always trying to kill me, everyone is running a red, or running stop/give way signs, or generally asleep at the wheel, which most people are duringtheir commute, I also ride really safe, and give myself, and everyone else enough room in case I need to pull some hasty evasive actions, I've done a few rider training days over the years, which has come in handy on more than a few occasions  As for mods, there's nothing really, and yes your right about aftermarket exhaust, all you get is loud and obnoxious noises from them, like every 250-300 cc you hear with a aftermarket muffler, in saying this I did put a rear muffler from a 125 Aprilla on one of my old 125 scooters, it was horrendous and no amount of full face helmet and ear plugs would dampen that noise As for coming from the Harley, and what a overpriced POS that was, I no longer do big rides as my poor old busted joints ache after about 1/2 an hour of riding, long cruises are so much more enjoyable now in a car, so a big bike would be pointless
    • Oh wow, it's easy to forget how cheap these can be. Probably the cheapest way to travel. Though people in cars here tend to be morons and I would not feel very safe. Were scooters ever big in Australia? It used to be the thing growing up in Europe ~20 years ago. 50/70/125ccm Peugeot or Yamaha and some others. Utterly obnoxious Polini race exhausts. Kick stands that slant as much as possible. So loud. So much noise for really not moving very fast at all. But it felt cool at the time. Not sure where I'm going with this, but there is an aftermarket for mopeds! Though I'd have pictured you more for a Goldwing kind of guy after growing out of the Harley.
    • You need to know I am sorry for this.
    • As the MX5 isn't apparently "manly" enough, and I need something for runs to the local shops, and also take to my part time job at the salon, basically I can keep the MX5 away from car parks and stuff......like "flying lockers", I was wondering what I could buy to fix this issue LOL, I pick up a new Yamaha 125 Delight this arvo from Trooper Lu, basically a R1 that you can fit a slab of beer on between your feet, also, it was $29400 cheaper than a R1, so actually it's 2 x better than a R1
    • Nah. H2S. H2S is "rotten egg gas", which is what is associated with no cat. SO2 is equally nasty, and if you've ever smelt it you'll know all about it. More of a choking, acid in the back of the throat sort of thing. But you can only smell it in a narrow range up to about 1ppm. Above that, it irritates your mucous membranes, but you don't smell it.
