See you mofo's on Sunday. By the way, how do you guys who share a garage go about moving in and out if you're in different groups and the car next to go out is parked behind the other?

We are generally in the same group or one difference. So one is on track other on pre grid.

Had a great day today!

A few blemishes:

  • Loosing down the first long session due to winding up the boost to 15 psi instead of 9psi lol
  • Ripping off the front lower plastic tray and mud guard down the main straight!

But!

  • Shaved 14secs off my PB and did a 1:33!

Should just put on some Yokohama AD08's and highflow the turbo and challenge Rob Forbes in standard class next year :P

Minor setback though. Car now develops a high pitched whurring noise on the front left wheel when driving the car. Not sure what it is. Noise will be there even driving at 10km/h. Hrmmm...

Here are some pics:

1.22 is a killer time for any car..

How did you go Tony, was it dry enough..

I got a 1:33 brah. Happy with my time :)

Now i need to buy an oil cooler.

In the afternoon. would hit 120c about 3 laps in. So only got about 5 lap sessions and then pulled in, didn't want to risk it.

Water temp was still 70-80c i think.

maybe wheel bearing, would get right onto that. jack it up and check for wheel play in both axis. Just ask Ant about PI last time?

Yeah its on my to-do list..which is also my wish list atm.. Along with fitting my oil cooler..lol

I got my Velo 5 point harness for $170 I think if its any help

That's what my friend thinks it is, he won't get to look at it till later this week.

Just driving it from home to the train station to get to work in the mean time

What would have caused it? I woulda thought all my ripple strip action yesterday would have smashed the front right wheel more.

Is it safe to drive in the meantime?

Yes you should attack standard class! Beat my SAU best times damn it!

Maybe the wheel beering. The single peice brake rotors hold a lot of heat and can cook them if you dont cool down enough.

Other thing is the rotor maybe warped and touching the pad or the piston is not retracting fully.

Loving the pics from this - thanks guys!

I had a pretty terrible first outing, after taking it very easy for the first few laps of the first session to get a feel for the fresh build, started to put the boot in but something wasn't right. Then descended into barely able to start or idle. Car had been fine on the dyno and road tests until now.

Looks to be an air leak somewhere, possibly intake manifold gasket or something ... being sorted now.

Congrats again on the 1.22 Richo - crazy fast time for street tyres. And great to see some of the usual suspects and meet a few others.

HSV day here I come hopefully for a better shake down!
