Hello. Here's an update. Rang the closet place. He said the conversion is easy to engineer. But the car will need to pass emmisions, that's the biggest problem. He said vipac do it and it's about $1000.

I've looked on the net and everywhere it says u can't engineer a rb30/25? This is so confusing! The car is a 1995. The rb30s where in patrols up until 1997. And the 25head is around 91-93. What is your input on this people? I've hit a brick wall

Engine is an RB30 so should be fine. The head is just a part and anyway who is going to know if its a 1991 head or a 1997 head?

if i do that i need an emissions test. The engineer said if i go stock rb25det. stock intake stock turbo and exhaust. It will pass without an emissions test. Something to do with 4wd emissions being less stringent. So i am going this route

a turbo being laggy has nothing to do with price. ive used all sorts in my workshop. garret holset high flows and ive used ebay non branded turbos aswell. to say they are laggy is a common missconception. pick the right turbo for the right engine and the do baxk ro back power runs on the dyno with full boost uaually no later than 2500-2900rpm and boost curve within 0.6psi after 15 back to back runs. ive had a ebay turbo on my 25 @ 20psi for 3.5 years till i aold thw engine and its still going now as good as it was.
