Just a quick one....

I have replaced the exhaust, cat, intercooler and pods on my 33 GTR. the Power FC has recoreded some higher then normal knock readings also

Should i get a tune asap? or would it be ok to drive for awhile? As i cant get in for a bit to the tuner i want?

I'd be surprised if those mods were causing higher knock, unless your previous tune was pretty close to the edge. But it's definitely better to be safe than sorry, if it were my car I would assume it is knocking and not drive it hard until you can get a tune. You can still drive it, just don't go loading it up everywhere.

You would think a free'r flowing exhaust and front mount would reduce knock??

If you can't get a tune for a while drive it normally ie without thrashing it until you can get it checked

Out of curiosity what knock readings you getting now?

or just blanket some more fuel on the map, there's a chance with new pods the AFM is reading slightly different causing a lean miture, you don't have a wideband O2 by any chance?

AFMs are sensitive little shits.

Well you didn't need to swap the parts over, it was a choice. Just like it's your choice to go and get a tune sooner rather than later.

So keep babying it and say a little prayer each night.

^^^ haha..

maybe this new exhaust system doesnt flow as good as the last and its causing restriction which =knock with the same timing etc.. :whistling:
