Ok, another question for everyone. Who has pulled out the inner plastic gaurds from their skyline (due to rubbing tyres) and had any complications/issues because of it?? I'm very tempted to pull out the 2 front plastic gaurds on my GTR but am worried that this will expose my BOV and what not to water/dirt, and also the possibility of my tyres rubbing against the BOV itself!! Has anyone done this on an R34 GTR?? What are the risks involved with doing this?? I've heard of people using a heat gun to make the gaurd bigger though that doesnt exactly work as the standard BOV is RIGHT behind the front right gaurd....

I came across this same problem last week!

I used a hair dryer and was able to push the right side back, yes it does rub due to the BOV as stated but a lot less now.

I will be doing the same to the left guard as it rubs on the rear side at full lock.

I too am wondering is the best way to go about the BOV being in the way.

Use a heat gun and form the plastic as much as you can, if you remove the plastic you will get heaps of crap finding its way into the front door area near the door hinge, also where the wiring loom enters the firewall, you may get some water coming into the cab.

The inner guard also helps with the aero inside the wheel well, its there for a reason, moulding it is your best option.

That's what the forums are for! Talking about common problems!! :)

Hmmm. Has anyone moulded it with a heat gun and stopped the rubbing completely??? I'm not entirely sure but I doubt this is possible on the right side without custom fabrication as the BOV is literally right behind the gaurd
