Hi Guys,

I have a set of Crux coilovers (strange Japanese brand) in my 33 GTst with some real heavy spring rates ie 14kg front and 12 kg....

The car was originally set up for drift and i am in the pocess of converting the set up to suit grip racing. I have been informed that the coilovers are quite a good quality coilover and i was looking at changing out the spring rates to suit my application...

Does anyone happen to know if the spring lengths on coilovers are pretty well generic? if so what are the spring lengths for a 33 gtst as apparently the springs are different lengths front to rear if i am not mistaken??

Cheers

The spring lengths are different for different coilover brands. Also you can't just swap from a 14 to a 7 or 8 (which is what you'll probably want) as the damping will be WAY OFF. You'll also need to have them revalved unless the adjustment is separate for rebound and compression and works over a wide range.

FWIW I put 10" springs in the front of mine, I'd guess yours are no longer than 8".
