Hey guys not sure if this is the right section. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on my exhaust. On the jasma plate it has a 048 stamp and from research I have found this means that the company who made it is apekusera inc. but I'm unsure about how to find any info on these. Any hints?

Ps. The canon has dunk megaphone written on it if this helps.

I just typed jasma into google. Jasma is like the Japanese version of ADR approved exhausts. The stamp should have a 3 number code on it. I found a list of a few of the numbers and the names of who make them. I'm on my phone so I can't post the list but if you post the number on yours I can see if its there if you like?

Ps: this is just my 5minute understanding of what jasma means, I'm a total noob at this stuff.

Yeah you have the gist of it! Does yours say Super Megaphone and is nice and quiet? If so its the same as mine and i am pretty sure its Apexi

Yeap I had a super megaphone. Flowed really well, made next to no noise on my tractor (SR). pretty sure its an apexi, yes.

My dad took to it with an angle grinder as it was taking up too much space in 1 piece :) he figured it was off the car at the time so it must have been deemed long term storage. Funnily enough the entire motor wasnt in the car at the time, thus taking the exhaust off too.

Luckily he didnt take to the motor with an angle grinder too.

P.S.

Apekusera is the jap name for Apexera which is Apexi.

A'PEX Integration Exhaust Systems

The Dunk 115 Series Mufflers were designed to satisfy the demands of U.S. car enthusiasts with full 60mm piping and a straight-through canister design. The smooth-flowing piping is treated with high-temperature titanium particle coating. The offset 200mm SUS 304 stainless steel canister provides ample ground clearance. The 115mm tip is also constructed of polished SUS 304 stainless steel and has a clean, but aggressive style. Dunk 115s can also accommodate the Super Silencer for up to an extra 7 decibels of sound deadening.

GT Spec Mufflers are A'PEXi's flagship line of exhaust systems. These race-bred exhaust systems were engineered to handle extremely high-horsepower applications. A'PEX is the only company in Japan to own and operate a 95mm (3.74 inch) mandrel pipe bender at this time. A'PEXi proudly incorporates this 95mm piping on select applications to offer exhaust systems unmatched by any other manufacturer. Pipes for the GT Series are designed with minimal amount of bends and the canisters project at an angle like the N-1. The GT Series pipes and canisters are constructed of polished SUS 304 stainless steel. The 115mm polished tip give the GT Spec Mufflers an aggressive, yet refined style. All GT Spec Mufflers include the Super Silencer, which can reduce noise levels by up to 7 decibels.

In the N-1 Endurance Race, efficiency is everything. With that in mind, the N-1 exhaust systems were born to satisfy the want for quick throttle response and to effectively handle the rigorous demands of high-horsepower engines. The pipes were engineered with the aid of sophisticated CAD systems to develop the straightest possible lines and least number of bends. The straight-through canister projects from the car at an angle, which helps smooth the exhaust flow. The canister is built from SUS 304 stainless steel and features a 115mm tip with aggressive style. The Super Silencer is included on selected models, which can reduce noise levels by up to 7 decibels. The N-1 Series Mufflers are available for both NA (naturally aspirated) and turbo-charged cars.

N-1 Dual Mufflers are a variant of the popular single-tip N-1 Series Mufflers. The N-1 Dual piping splits into two smaller diameter pipes just after the catalytic converter and flow into a pair of 120mm canisters. The canisters are polished off with aggressive 90mm tips. The use of smaller piping diameter helps retain more mid-range torque. The Dual N-1 does not sacrifice peak horsepower because the dual pipes can handle more exhaust gas volume. Piping is treated with high-temperature titanium particle coating, and the canisters and tips are constructed of polished SUS 304 stainless steel. Optional 90mm Super Silencers can be used to reduce noise levels by up to 7 decibels.

The World Sport concept is A'PEX's interpretation of how each vehicle's exhaust system should have looked and performed right from the factory. Designed with the daily driver in mind, this exhaust series focuses on drawing out mid-range torque and engine response for optimal drivability on the street. The styling is subtle and elegant, but still retains characteristics of its racing origin. The result is an affordable cat-back exhaust system that makes the daily commute more enjoyable.

The Super Megaphone Exhaust System was the original single tip muffler in Japan. It popularized the single tip design and set quality standards for performance exhausts. The canister and tip of the Super Megaphone is constructed from SUS 304 polished stainless steel. The tip measures 115mm in diameter and is stamped with its unique logo. This muffler is sure to become a "classic" in the world of performance exhausts.

Oh cool! Thanks allot for that. Mine is the top one :P any idea if this is legal in qld? :/

No worries, that is the first time ive found that! I googled for mine and found heaps but googled yours and first page up was brilliant :woot:

And NO if yours isnt super quiet like mine then i doubt it mate!

Lol I had a strong feeling you would comment Ash.

It's true, a decent exhaust can flow well and be quiet enough if you pay the price. My once epic super megaphone catback was ultra quiet and came free with the car :(

Mine flowed power but is restrictive... I love the quietness but need a bigger system, it MUST be quiet tho..... Best large muffler to use? Ash?

Well most places that make them are a "brand", but not an off-shelf type thing if you want the biggest... As it needs to fit into your current exhaust design. They are not all the same piping wise, they are close but yeah, gotta do a custom measure

Ahhh ok.... Well I think the rear muffler is my restriction, at 360kw the 3" is probably running close to is limit yeah? Just got a 100 cell cat (was 200) and was going to change the rear muffler so it's flanged and I can swap, same with the gate pipe, can rotate it plumbed or atmo.

The turbo won't make more power but I was hoping to gain a bit of response?

doubtful that you will pick up response mate.

the muffler is probably only becoming a restriction when you get to that 360kw level. Meaning that when your doing <200kw on spool up it probably isnt causing any restriction.

You could try the juggernaught trick and make a 4" dump tho, which reduces back before the cat. I am of the understanding this will improve response and midrange.
