Fuel Metal Flap V35 Coupe

hi guys,

i just noticed the other day whilst filling up my 04 v35 coupe, that the metal flap where you put the nose of the petrol gun in is missing!

just wanted to know if this is standard? im pretty sure all cars come with that metal flap, just wanted to know whether mine has broken or something?

Please advise so i know whether its broken or its like that.

Know what you're talking about. Is yours stuck inside? ie, is it folded up and inside the hole?

Ah yes i know what you mean, these cars do not have that flap. Well, at least my 03 coupe doesn't..

mine doesn't either, nor does my J31 maxima. I haven't seen cars with that metal flap for a while now..

I'm no too sure if its stuck inside ill try again when I take it out but last time I checked I couldn't feel anything...and Greg are u sure I've checked a few other cars at home and they all have it? Jut need a few more people to definately clarify this

My V35 doesn't have it.. and I just double checked the J31, it doesn't have it.

I don't think my old 1993 J30 Maxima had it either.. the R31 skyline I had before that did though..

It doesn't really serve much of a purpose.. other than to prevent you accidently dropping something down there.. but really, how long do you have the fuel cap off without a filler nozzle blocking the hole?
