True true fair enough then. I was thinking of future if and when you chase even more power (damn hp itch) externally gating will give you that opportunity now and I the future.

Here's a wee list of mind mate sorry bit log copied it from other post.

Thought I'd have a look and add my info car is currently on the build again bigger turbo and intercooler

But here is some figures when finally complete and

On Dyno will post sheets of new power.

Currently 427kw revs taken to 8800.

Cracked r34 gtt 25det neo

Fully forged from ground up.

Valves seats rings arp head bolts, studs

Wiseco forgiez

Tomei poncams stage 2

Rc 720cc injectors Greddy intake

Hypertune 90mm throttle body

4 inch intake piping all round

SARd external gate

Custome sinco top mount mani

ARE surge pot fuel pump wallbro x 2

Nismo engine mounts to stop torque bend ( still engine pulls hard lol)

Hks t04s 1.0 exhaust wheel (nice change at 4000rpm no valve noise means no cops lol)

Apexi avcr

Apexi el2 gauges oil pressure, temp water And boost

Apexi rsm

3 1/4 inch exhaust with cat back

Arc cold air intake box

Spitfire coilpacks

Upgrade vct module It's awesome keeping vct trust me

Basicly it there's heaps of other things but that's basic core stuff.

427kw atw at 1.4 bar boost

On Bp 98 ultimate

Oh and vipec ecu

Nice to see heaps of other tough 25 and 20dets reppin.

[

what crank are you using to rev so high? thats alot of power for a smallish exhaust and no E85

I have not seen the results of a 52 trim GT3037/GT3076R on an RB30 so I'm not sure if or by how much the slightly smaller trim compressor affects spool/boost threshold . Me thinks a higher CR like 9.5+ would pull up a bit more low end torque pre boost and make it a little more linear with the boot in .

A .

Yeh but on 98? Jungle juice fair enough...

With 9:1, I had enough troubles with the thing pinging when ramping onto max torque! 9.5 would be the limit for me on 98 IMO

I'll check through receipts and shit when I get home Basicly the car was left in the builders hands and told then not too cut costs anywhere so they went all out at Jhh I'm not one too usually do extensive work myself I just save and pay to get it done

The dyno graph will be uploaded when I get it (tuner was out of printer ink)

I can even provide overlays of 3076 vs GT-RS on the same car.

Keep in mind that this is a 52T as opposed to the more common 56T version of the GT3076 (i.e. better response than a 56T)

It replaced an HKS GT-RS and has (much to my and my tuners surprise) matched the GT-RS for boost response and beaten it for power response.

It makes more power across the entire rev range and the power curve is almost perfectly linear.

Engine (RB25) is stock and has never been cracked, other mods done at the same time as the 3076 were; custom 4" intake, split dump and decat.

Needless to say I am very happy with the results

Hey jez my tune didn't get finished as there was no controlling the boost so my power is made upto 16psi and at 5400rpm everything after that has no timin and heaps of fuel as it hits 23psi so what I'm wanting is to have this new dump fitted which is being made as we speak to I can get the tune finished at 19/20psi

My problem with boost spike would be because me and Abe got extremely happy with the dremel we ported the manifold turbo flange head everything hahha so if I didn't do that I wouldn't have this problem as I have a 38mm internal flapper now so fingers crossed its just the dump pipe of I didn't port everything it would of been sweet hahaha next step will be e85 crank it upto 340/350rwkw

Got my new dump pipe made and fitted by abe at havoc fabrication 4inch to 3.5 omg no more spike at all not even .5 psi such a big improvement car seems quicker to can't wait for my tune to be finished highly recommend ABE havoc fab for any custom stainless work I love my lobster dump pipe :D links to the pic

    • I might have to shoot them an email. Pity the exchange rate is so bad at the moment. BTW, thanks for posting that table makes interesting reading.
    • Add these Sensors -Wideband, Oil Pressure, Fuel pressure, Intake air temp Good inspection of ignition system of coils, plugs and loom (12v feed and good ground)- a r35 kit is best bang for buck upgrade. A decent tuner should be able to see any issues with the trigger system- a link has good filtering but a good simple upgrade is the nz wiring bolt in kit. Check and replace all the fuel filters- you would be surprised at intank filter after a few years. Also good to check for any leaks on vac hoses and pipe work as has been said. No need to go overboard and spend big $$$ to enjoy the car. A quality tuner is getting harder to find as anyone with a laptop thinks they are a tuner. A link has great features to check sensor voltages and frequency inputs and easy to see live by pressing f12. The link can do a TPS & RPM fuel/ignition mapping on ITB cars then add a 4D table with MAP and ability to add a 5D to it (can help with economy at cruise with wheel speed vs TPS) Where are you located as that will help narrow down a good tuner ?
    • Reviving an old thread, I reckon my stagea is starting to slip. Car usually gets parked on a hill, narrow driveway so cant go up the driveway smoothly, anyhows, lately first gear feels "sluggish"? Not responsive. Feels like I gotta run the engine more than usual to get off the line...  Any recommendations for transmission servicing in Sydney? Or possibly just an excuse to go manual ?
    • Well, moulded carpets should fit well if the buck they use is the right shape. The finish is then just a case of stiching the trim around the edges. Shuoldn't be too hard to get it right. Back in the day, replacement carpets were all "fitted", in that they were stitched together, with cuts and slices taken out to make them form the shapes. Many more opportunities to get it wrong, hence all the concern over good vendors and bad vendors.
