G'day! newbie here. I've had to replace my rear oem shock absorbers as one was leaking and the other was totally gone. So I ordered a pair from Nissan for $150ea and they arrived today. However they did not come with dust boots. My existing dust boots are ripped (see attached photo). When I asked for a pair of dust boots I was quoted $120 each! That's a ripoff! It would have been cheaper to get aftermarket Koni's! (unless Koni's dont come with dust boots either)

Does anyone know if there are any cheaper alternatives to the oem nissan ones? Or do I even need these boots at all? $120ea seems a bit much for a piece of rubber! Any ideas would be much appreciated!

All Skyline dust boots wear out and tear - fear not!

You could try some KYB dust boot/bumpstop kits (BSK001/BSK002/BSK003) not sure if these will work but will be cheap and worth a try.

Otherwise I would just run them without dust boots, I really wouldn't be too concerned about it mate.

Mine are exactly the same. Was just gonna wait to replace the shocks with aftermarkets, was kinda hoping new dust boots came with the shocks? After reading above I'm not sure? Guess I'll just find out before I purchase any.
