Missing Knob On R33?

Hey guys

Just bought my first skyline yesterday after spending 4 years in an xr6 turbo with 330rwkw's and starting to get to know the car, it's a r33 gts-t.

First stupid question... I'm sure I'll have more

On the dash to the left of the steering wheel there is a dial that is missing what is it? There is a little rod sticking out and it twists but the dial is missing and the last owner painted over the markings?

I dare say it's the dimmer. They have to put them in for compliance (stupid, really).

Just dims the dash.

Ah k, thanks for the reply. Another stupid question. Crawled under the back and there is all these electronics on the back of the diff is it some kind of diff locker or something?

Na doesn't look like that, after a closer look appears to be more attached to the cv's so maybe it's kid Speedo sensor or something?
