Heard them say something mildly interesting during today's coverage (during the pre-race bullshit). The tyres they use only cost about $320 each. I'm guessing that would be because they get them direct and they are a commissioned item, etc, but I still found that pretty cheap.

Tires are all allowcated at the beginning of the year with the REC agreement and fee.

They say 3-320 per tire cause that's what the Dunlop guys are paying but the true cost for maingame is unknown.

Dunlop guys get incentives with free tires if they commit to multiple rounds etc
