Hi,

I have a S1 260RS Stagea and have Xenons in the car. They are Xenons/HID for both highbeam and normal beams.

Im not sure if they are a genuine Nissan item or after market. How do i tell?

The issue is;

i turn my headlights on and while im driving even over bumps and railway tracks etc the headlights stay on and solid even though i have lowered suspension.

However when i hit the brakes and the front end dips the drivers side head light starts to flicker and sometimes turns off. The harder i brake the greater the chance the light turns off.

Also, it seems that once the headlights have been on for some time the light seems to resist the braking action more. So i have to brake harder to get the light to turn off but it still flickers under light braking. When the lights are cold even the slightest braking action manages to turn it off.

Any ideas on what is causing this? it drives me nuts

I dont think u'd need to rip it all out. Locate where the ballasts have been installed and check they arent just floating around in there. Then check all the wiring where its been modified. Check for continuity too. U prob find something is loose or damaged. U'd b surpised how bad some peoples wiring jobs are.

Hahahaha Thanks for the advice. Ill do continuity checks, im sure thats probably the issue. As for peoples wiring jobs i know what you mean. I have seen some wiring that just makes you want to put the panels/trim back on and walk away. LOL
