as it says in the title guys, i got a rb20 r32 sedan.....just recently bought it and ive noticed only sometimes, it wont start the first time, but cranks until i let the key go, then ill stop and go to start again and it fires up straight away. what could the cause of this be and the solution to fix it, as it is really annoying me now aha. thanks :)

old car syndrome? as our 32s age then gremlins like this will appear more frequently, could be any number of things causing this . . . .sounds like the fuel pump not priming properly, my 32 coupe does the same thing as youve described, i dont let it worry me anymore as the car has more pressing issues

yeah also when stopping with the clutch in, usually parking or going into the drive way....it stalls on me :/ any queries on that?

Has it been serviced recently? New air filter and plugs? Dodgy fuel?

As far as starting goes, like Steven said they are getting old but there are some things you can do. In addition to Stevens idea of checking the pumps, often checking/replacing engine and component earths helps. There are kits you can buy but to me they seem like dodgy band aid ideas. Find your earths and check their condition and contact with the cars body and parts. Replace with thicker gauge wire if it looks like it will improve things.

Getting a full service and anything needing to be done tomorrow. So hopefully it fixes the issue of stalling and starting.

If I put my ignition on and let the fuel pump do its thing till it stops making noise. It starts first time everytime without fail. Wierd??
