Rb25 Det Neo Missing Harshly Whilst Accelerating When Cold?

Gday all,

Ive done a few searches and cant really find what im looking for.

I have and R34, neo motor, NIStune, 550cc injectors, bosch 040, turbo etc...

Its always had a rough cold start, but a few days ago it started running horribly while accelerating when it was cold.

Once it gets warm, the cars runs fantastically.

Ive cleaned a couple of sensors and connections and all the basic stuff just for piece of mind.

Any one have any ideas?

do you still have standard coilpacks?

Very confident it's the coil packs. Extremly common problem

Hey guys, its got split fires, fitted them brand new a few months ago. I thought coils showed problems more when they were warm. Mines running fine when its warm.

Just missing really bad when its cold...

If you have consult cable and software, check if the temperature reported to the ECU looks sensible.

So I dropped it off with my tuner, ecu wise he had nothing unusual to report... I'm stumped on this one...

So the ecu coolant temp was fine? Did he check it when cold though?

What spark plugs do you have and how old are they?

Yeh it was stone cold, left over night.

Bcpr6es, only 5000km old. There fine, just checked them today.

I forgot to ask for some more background on the problem. Did it start all of a sudden or did it progressively get worse?

Is there a dodgy batch of BCPR6ES's atm? I am experiencing exactly the same thing (except mine doesn't fully clear when warm)

Simple to find out go a different brand and fit them. Too bad you guys are in melb I have a tested working set of coils and ngk-r plugs you could have tried.
