Hi guys has this been Attempted

RB20Det (silver top) Head onto RB26 Block

I just Brought an 26 Engine and want to save the head for a big setup in a VL,

and maybe aid my Streeter R32 GTST with the extra 0.6L and a fresh up

Why? just use the 26 complete

putting the 20 head on sounds like more drama then its worth, and I dont recall ever hearing it being done so it cant be to easy

Like I said Im using the 26 head for 26/30 in a Vl Drag car, this is for my streeter R32gtst

Here is your answer, 2 seconds of searching would have found the answer for you:

• RB20 - 2.0 L (1998 cc, bore: 78.0 mm, stroke: 69.7 mm)
  
• RB24 - 2.4 L (2428 cc, bore: 86.0 mm, stroke: 69.7 mm)
  
• RB25 - 2.5 L (2498 cc, bore: 86.0 mm, stroke: 71.7 mm)
  
• RB26 - 2.6 L (2568 cc, bore: 86.0 mm, stroke: 73.7 mm)
  
• RB30 - 3.0 L (2962 cc, bore: 86.0 mm, stroke: 85.0 mm)

Has been done, but you have to do some welding up of the water passages, machining and redrilling.

Just get a 25, 26 or RB30 head
