Hey, so im about to replace my ignition coils in my 33 Gtst, so just wondering what spark plugs people are using/recommend and at what gap? heard many people regap to 0.8? are iridiums the go or just a standard plug. Car has minor mods atm, but soon to upgrade turbo and ecu.

Cheers

There is supposed to be a spark plug link in the Quick Reference Guide but the link is broken.

Standard skyline - Platinum PFR5G-11/PFR6A11 - Iridium BKR6EIX-11/BCPR6EIX-11 or Copper BCPR6ES-11 (only regap if required to bandaid)

Mild mods ~ 100hp more than stock - BCPR7ES

Thanks Dan, i have been looking around and couldnt find a decent thread. Just wanting to know what people can recommend.

What should the Bcpr7es be gapped too?

You could go a heatrange down to BCPR6ES, if there isn't a -11 then they are 0.8mm if they are BCPR6ES-11, then they are 1.1mm gapped...

If you car is stockish, just run 6 and if your spark is strong, just run them at 1.1mm

Well hopefully within the next few weeks. Probably do it all at once (coils, plugs, turbo, injectors, ecu etc)

Well it should have strong spark seeing I will be fitting my brand new oem coil packs?

Okay too easy, are the iridiums outa the question?

Waste of time, waste of money... NGK coppers are cheap, and work. People say change them every 10k kms, I've used mine to 15k kms and they're fine.
