Thing Can Go Wrong With The Engine .

I just got my 350 just over a week ago and car only dont about 60000ks on it .i am just wondering what are the things that can go wrong wit the engine? and i need to do more homework on apart from electrics > thanks .

Do you feel like there's something wrong with the car ? I don't think the engine would have any problems just at 60,000kms ?

If its a new car to you and you don't know the service history - at this stage all you should worry about is doing an oil and filter change - spark plugs, and if there is no evidence of genuine km's, you might want to prepare to change the drive belts soon.

Other than that preventative maintenance, if it aint broke don't fix it.

I have a habit of dropping all the fluids as soon as I purchase a car. Only time I don't follow this is if there's an invoice demonstrating that everything has been done to date appropriately.

i never assume that someone has done the work even if it has receipts, its easy to knock up fake papers... same goes with odometer readings - theyre easy to wind back if needed.

when you buy a second hand car, replace and FLUSH OUT every fluid - engine oil, coolant, trans, diff, brakes, power steer. all filters.

i did all of this and still had my gearbox die a year later thru normal use. a $3000 repair due to a $10 clip breaking

what you mean $10 clip breaking ? yeah bought it from a dealer call jap auto worlds seem like all the fluids are new my macheanic checked it . car seem to be fairly new engine seem to have no problem at all just worried about things that can go wrong so i am prepared for it .

Like the guys have said, drop all fluids and replace with good quality synthetics. Change the engine oil every 5000 and learn to do it yourself Allen so you know it's done properly.

Last oil I bought was 20L of synX 6000 for $120, that will last you a year or so.
