Mercedes V8 Sound

How do they create such a raspy awesome sound from their v8s? Saw the med car fly by at the f1, sounded good

It's a mix of intake design, valves, ports and exhaust.

Not all mercs do... Dad has an old E430 and it's a nice sound, a clean deep exhaust note (Remus exhaust though)

Possibly trying to get the post count up so they can pm people, or post in the for sale section, or whatever has a minimum post count requirement. Or they have delusions of trying to get a skyline to sound like a v8, lol

Yep yep the conspiracy theorists. Actually, I had an account here, but haven't used it in ages and hence forgot the password etc. so I've created another. Just an inquisitive mind wanting to learn about the engineering side from people who might know, but I see why I left these forums. Cheers

EDIT numbero deux: not sure that last quip was necesary. i can definitely see the weird side to what looks like a new member to a nissan forum querying about, what I assume to be, a high end late model Mercedes (C63?)
