The Japan Spec premium has Red leather combined with red pleather. I don't think I could seriously handle the whole seat being red, as well as the steering wheel..!

This interior looks pretty good.

rehab apart from the steering wheel, that's how the interior in the adm 2009 and 2010 premium looked

for 2011/12 Nissan aus started importing the base model only to combat the rising yen while still selling the car for same price, with all black interior and grey roof lining

Wards I've seen pics of the full red, never been a fan of red interior, it feels a bit too 80s supercar. Would look so much better in a light grey. Mizuno says the red is to attract more female and elderly drivers lol

I'm hanging out for a proper facelift, new dash, new bumpers etc, think 996 to 997 which was still same car underneath. Rumour has that happening in 2014

^ this +1 - 100% agree. Might be worth the upgrade then

The red interior reminds me of a mate of mine with a white Lexus LFA. They come standard with all red interior. Looks very "meh" IMO. I prefer black with red highlights, or just plain black

Mmm white on white for my LFA please...

Any news if they have changed the turbos? Bigger injectors is fine, but the limiting factor will soon be the turbos. I still think the spec v turbos are in the future, after all they have already developed them

Nissan Japan has announced its changes to the 2014 (2013 JDM). The 2014 GTR is said to be the start of the 3rd generation GTR and while the exterior has not changed (the facelift looks to take place for next year's 2015 model) the GTR has evolved in 3 major ways. Firstly, in the suspension department the cars "roll center" has been lowered to give the 2014 GTR a more planted feel with less unnecessary movement while high speed driving. More body reinforcements have been added for 2014 aswell as new cam bolts to provide a better alignment to the front end. Next , while the peak power of 550PS and peak torque remains the same, internal changes such as new injectors have been made to allow mid range response and more torque between 4K-6K RPMs. This along with less drop off of turbo pressure is a factor in improved acceleration resulting in a one tenth improvement in 0-62 time of 2.7 (which should translate to an astonishing 2.6 sec 0-60 sprint.) Interior was the next thing that was improved. the JDM premium model GTR gets an optional fashionable "Amber Red" Interior that includes two-tone accents aswell as high grade hand sewn stitching . Other improvements include a craftsmanship badge added to the front of the engine and the option of NISMO Competition engine oil 2193E to coincide with last years switch to NISMO differential oil.

Yay for cams in the front end! Nobody likes mucking around with shims.

R35 has been around for a while now, doesn't need a facelift, needs and R36 ;)

I couldn't agree more. It's been around since 2008. That's 5 years now, so it's getting boring. That's what makes a R34 GT-R unique I guess. The fact it was only around from 1999-2002.

high costs to comply with new japanese emissions killed the r34

i'm sure if nissan could have continued to get a return on their r&d investment, they would have

there's nothing wrong with the r35 platform, it just needs a cosmetic freshen up mainly, new front end, new rear bumper treatment, new headlights with integrated leds, new dash layout.....and spec v turbos!!

Probably to align with Euro 6 emissions standard aswell which starts from Sept 2014. Would not be surprised to again see R36 sold in late 2014 in Japan only followed by rest of the world from 2015.

    • GTSBoy on your suggestion on another thread I had a look at those injectors and ended up getting them because of the quality.  Got the expensive ones.
    • Hey guys been looking everywhere to try and find the correct gtr hood latch support part number but only found the first half and when I search with that number it sends me to an r34. The first part I found was 62515. If anyone could help me with the rest then I’d really appreciate it. Or if there’s some alternative hood latch support that would work even better cause I can’t find any for sale. (Searched on upgarage, partsouq, buyee, rhdjapan)
    • If you've only done the upper control arms on the rear, AND you have changed their length (by more than about 1mm) to set the camber you want, then you will definitely need/want to install traction arms also. Adjusting the camber arms on their own WILL introduce bump steer and make the car unpleasant to drive. Most owners have no idea that their car could behave infinitely better than what they put up with. I'm not entirely sure what the Stageas need, but I am thinking that unless you have massive front spring rates and pretty soft rear springs, you have waaaay too much rear bar. Oversteer city, in my estimation. Combined with possible excessive bump steer from maladjusted arms, that could be a recipe for nastiness. ATR43SS2 is not a highflow. It is an outright replacement turbo. It's a little bit bigger than the largest highflow profile that Tao does. Probably a solid 300rwkW turbo where the bigger highflows will be about 30-40rwkW less. Nevertheless, we're only talking about ~300 rwkW, which is well within the abilities of the stock ECu to run with a Nistune on board. I would do so without hesitation - and I will be doing so when I get my finger out and actually get the injectors and AFM installed. But, if you would prefer to drop a whole lot more money on the ECU side, then I suspect you're looking at Haltech. The Haltech fanbois here will all spout on about all the available engine protection you can have, that you can't have with the Nistune option. And they're right. But it doesn't really come for free either. You will spend more money on extra sensors and the like, plus the work to install them. If the engine was built and therefore represented a big investment to protect, then I'd say definitely do it. If you view the current (and forever into the future) shortage of replacement engines as something to prompt similar protection, then also, do it. If you see a destroyed RB25 as an opportunity to put in a Mercedes or other V12 (like I kinda do)... then your perception of the risk/reward might differ. These are good injectors. You can also get a "better" set of the same with more flow matching, for more $$. 1000cc is where you will want to be. You will need an R35 AFM and adapter tube if you want to stay with Nistuned stock ECU. Otherwise, if going Haltech, you can ignore. As for intercooler. Just about anything will do. You're only talking about ~300rwkW. Just put a big core in there. Be aware that return flows do add significant pressure drop and will cost power and will make the turbo work harder to achieve the same goals. If you can manage a proper crossflow, do it. I'm keeping my very good return flow because I'm only expecting to be in the ~250rwkW range, and will live with whatever outcome I get.
