Or if your lazy, I normally hold the sides of it, pinch the top and turn it with my fingers. Then pull straight up when you see the cap seperate from the base.

Personally, I hate those particular clips; the other style used on Nissans are much easier to deal with, and they're cheap as chip to buy in bulk.
