Anyway I found a r33 fuel pump for 60 bucks. The mechanics in this country town want 330 to put it in. Is that steep?

Thats great thanks for letting me know.

Im keeping my car at the mechanics and hes starting a half hour earlier to fit me in so cant really say that i cant do it now. f**k!!

how easy is the install???????

very easy Disconnect battery (turn key to ignition and leave for 10 seconds to remove of all static in the system), de-pressurise fuel pump (pull fuel pump fuse then start car till it dies), get into your boot and undo the 3 bolts in the bottom of your boot to access your tank/pump.

then follow basic replacement, disconnect plug and hoses. install new one then just work everything back in reverse order.

HANDY TIP: only work on it if you have half a tank of fuel or less.

the pump sits in the bottom of your tank so the more petrol you have the deeper you have to put your hand into it.
