Fuel Pump install^^^

Fuel sender cleaning^^^

These should help.

You'll notice I've posted in the sender cleaning thread, having opened the tank and pulling out the pump aswell as the sender, I found that a pump install isn't likely to be too tricky, especially if you're replacing with a stock unit.

Give it a crack !!!

Great thanks mate!

Give it a go yourself. The hardest bit is getting the cradle back on which is fidely. it should go back on easily if the pump and the brackets are in the right place. If it doesnt try adjusting the bracket. Make sure the tank is pretty much empty.

Tank is full which will be a prick. I'm gonna buy an aftermarket instead of an original R33.

How do people rate bosch 040 in tanks? is $210 plus free delivery a decent price?

Any issues with install i may run in to?

I have done a search btw just wouldnt mind a bit more info

cheers

Yeah the 040 is the go. You will need a hacksaw and some patience. When I did mine I was over 105KG and it was a SOAB, as you need to be fully in the boot with your hand fishing around in the tank. I suggest syphoning most of the fuel out. My car runs over 270 RWKW with the 040 without an issue.

Sounds good i've ordered the 040. Ive found a good guide which i can follow.

I've got a full tank of fuel, why is it such an issue?

if you havent bought the pump yet i have a 044 all setup ready to drop in from my car with every fitting required and its cheaper than just a new pump. (was running 390kw in my car)

f**k, Already bought the 040 mate. Would have taken you up on that

Haha alright i will syphon it thanks!

, can i get some help plz....

I have got my new bosch 040 ready to go in.

I have bought fuel resistant hose and clamps.

I went to supercheap and they didnt have chemical resistant wire... where can i get some?

Could i just use the stock fuel pump wire and solder on terminals at the end?

Cheers,

Ryan

From memory you wont need new wire it's pretty long. Yes solder will work.
