330kw my standard box died and 450kw killed the second (did a fair few hard launches though I'll give it that!) although it's now been rebuilt with the OS Giken gearset and that held up ok at 450 and has copped a fairly hard time so far.

And you're right, more power = more issues! But if you want to dabble in that world that's what you get! :)

hahaha MOAR POWAH=Future issues... Wait for it all to start... How much you aiming for? Im expecting mine to be close to 300KW and that's ill i really want in a road car haha.

Well over 500kw at the wheels.. :)

300kw is to slow. I had 350awkw and it was not fast enough :)

Doubt i will have many problems as everything is being modified (running gear, gear box etc etc)

Mate down the road has a 580KW 32... I would never want to own that much power hahaha.

I wish you all the best and hope nothing blows up.

yes or no to LAG.

300+ on the streets with minimal lag is sufficient. The acceleration is linear. and yes can get boring the longer the streets you travel are.

450+ add lag but receive kick in the pants acceleration. Track - depending which one? - Drag - Yes

around the windy hills 300+ is fine

IMHO

as said before add more Powah can be costly

my GTR has 330awkws but I may go from -7's to -5's. Haven't decided and Im happy for now :D

Richard your gt-r will transform into a completely diff monster once you go up from -7's to -5's. Huge difference in "pulling power" esp up top.

Hey Sedat  great to hear from you. Take it all is going well with yours...

You doing the SAU NATS mate?

I beleive you. Just need to take that step. Might take drive in a mates to make my mind up for certain.

I'm fairly sure it's not far away and the -7's will be on my shelf if I ever decide to go back.

:D

R33 Natro

-fuel pump 8 days

-3 wheel studs in the space of a month

-seized coil overs

-spun big end

-blew up gear box

-ls1 loom shot

-unusable fly by wire throttle setup

I'm sure there's more...

Im good mate and how about your self ? I will not be making it to SAU NATS as my GT-R is currently undergoing a rebuild. And do not have enough time and money to purchase an R34 GT-R to make it to the NATS :(

Had an R32 GTR about 8 - 9 Yrs ago. Spent 20K after purchase on pretty nice upgrades and general awesomness.. Problems with slack workshops promising the world and only delivering 6 - 12 months off the road.. and still not right (Was told it was a cracked head.... probably just the aftermarket metal head gasket now that I know more about these cars). Got offered 13K which I took under pressure from a 'workshop' that had it sitting there for months with no work done to get rid of the headache. So much anger right now.

Very happy with an RB25 that I can work on now and get it professionally tuned. Ahhh all better.
