R34 Timing Belt Problems.need Help Asap

Hey guys,

I'm having some problems with my r34 gt.

I just had a timing belt done and its been over three months and there is still nose coming from the belt area,I have no idea what it is or how to fix it.

If anyone from vic can help me,i'll be really great full.

More info needed. Is it a Gates racing belt (blue) etc. Did the mechanic/workshop who did the work, actually work on RBs?

Gates, hks, greddy all made from same company gates

The kevlar belt sounds horrible because the mech didnt tension the belt with a warm engine now its too tight warmed up

My did the same thing and gates usa told me to retension with warm block , fixed now

sounds like its rubbing or a tight rubberband

The belt isnt tensioned properly, try take it back to the mechanic & ask them to adjust it

Had mine done as well 2 years ago but could the noise your talking about be from the water pump belt as if they did a good job

they would put a new water pump on it as well and this belt would need tightening after a week or 2 ??
