Hi all,

Selling off my wheels as I'm no longer part-taking in track days. All wheels are legitimate Rays/Volk Racing wheels.

Rays CE28N Time Attack wheels. 18x9.5j +22 offset. 5x114.3 stud pattern. Lightweight, forged and awesome looking wheels :) CE's are in good condition, the red lip has a few blemishes and one wheel has a minor rash (from previous tyre shop). Prior to having tyres fitted, they were kept outside so do have a few tree sap markings. Tyres are 245/40/R18 Kumho V710's sprint tyres, superb grip but the rears did scrub against the gaurds, still fine to race on though. Tread is down to the indicator but still enough for 2 track days - the rears have slightly more tread than the front.

Looking for $2.7k for both wheels and tyres or $2.5k for the CE28N's and $300 for the semis. Would prefer to sell together as they are now all bubble wrapped and are ready for shipping. Will cost about $120-150 to send to either SA/NSW via e-Go couriers.

Pair Rays SE37K. 18x9j +40. 5x114.3 stud pattern. Wheels are in good condition, one of the lips has been partially rubbed back but does not have any gutter rash. Both the CE's and SE's will clear big brakes (Supra 4 pistons at least). $400 ono

Also have some tyres:

4 x Kumho KU36 high performance road tyres. Front: 235/40/R18 Rear 265/40/R18. 50% tread and in good condition, were used for street so don't have any flat spots ect. $500.ono

2 x Continental Conti-Sport 2 tyres: 235/40/R18 with 50% tread. Good condition and in rwc condition. $80.ono

Tyres are kept at the tyre fitters (not the one that scratched my CE's) so if you'd like photo's, let me know and I'll get them after work one day. Located in Melb S.E and can send anywhere in Aus at buyers' expense. Please sms/text only on 0433 333 350 - can't take phone calls due to a busy work place, not interested in low ballers.

    • Sadly I can confirm if you are actually seeking to drift, you will quite easily spin up one wheel. Even if you're going in a straight line. I am not entirely sure of the metrics/terminology here but there's only a certain amount that the helical will actually spin both wheels. I've seen it on video with my own car where two lines of smoke switch over to just one after you really get in to it. Unlike with a clutch diff where you can keep your foot planted until the car regains grip, in my experience with the helical you want to be utilizing traction control allowing LIMITED slip or lifting (partially) when you start to spin up both tyres with a Nissan helical. Which makes them pretty sub optimal for drifting duty. That said... this is probably a helical on numbers alone. Just put the Kazz in
    • Let's just fix the problem by f**king the rest of the gearbox.
    • Unlikely, as per Greg's post. This is not helical diff behaviour unless one wheel is up off the ground. Shimming what? You don't "shim" a mechanical LSD. Probably not in the sense that you have heard of people "shimming" a diff. And the process that Nissan f**kwits call "shimming" a diff involves super-preloading a VLSD cartridge against the side of the diff to create a friction/wear point (in a place that it wasn't supposed to have one) to make the sloppy, useless, viscous diff into a hybrid viscous/mech abortion. In case it isn't clear, I consider the process to be stupid. Nike.
    • How much does the shifter move when the car is in gear with the engine off? If it is more than about 1cm you need to replace your shifter bush. Your shifts will just get crunchier, not faster, with a short shifter unless you also rebuild the whole box
