S1 Or S2 Rb25Det Engine

G'day All,

New to forum. Just bought myself a little project R33 Skyline, Im doing a engine in it as the original engine has a sheared cog on the crankshaft and its just as easy to replace the engine. What im wondering is if my engine doesnt have an ignitor on the rocker cover and i get one that does can i remove it and just use my original coils etc..

My Skyline is a 01/95 model so not sure wether its a series 1 or series 2.. Any info would be a great help..

If it doesn't have an external ignitor, then yes it's s2, and yes you can use a s1 engine in there, just use all the s2 electrics
