Hi guys.

I am looking for EOI's on these wheels. I'm going for a different look and was going to paint these wheels but it seems almost criminal to do that given how rare they are and no longer in production,so throwing it out there for interest.

Location: CBD Melbourne - can drop off for post at buyers expense

Specs: LE37T Top Secret Edition 19x9.5 +22 (F) & 19x10.5 +22 ®

Condition: excellent - only some hairline scratches in one of the hub centres. The 'Volk' stickers are a bit sketchy - could do with replacement ($40 from Nengun) - but importantly, the 'Top Secret' banner decals are still intact - can't buy these.

Comes with Volk Carbon caps - two of the caps have some cracks in the lettering of the 'VR' - but only visible up close.

Tyres are Pirelli P-Zero 245 fronts , and Hankook V1 275 rears. Cambered on the insides but plenty of meat in the middle.

Will include blue Rays locking lug nut set.

PM me if interested.

Cheers

Mat

Looking for offers around the 3,500 mark.

Cheers - they really are a nice wheel - but i recently got badly burnt on a set of Enkei RPF01's that were gold and I just seem to have a thing about gold wheels now! That being said, every time I drive past a shop window and see the reflection of the car, they really do suit it very well......

But I want to go something 2 or 3-piece that I can split and repaint the centres.

Open to swaps too for wheels of similar size/spec/value.

Lol - yeh they are precious - but they draw too much attention, and some nights I have to park on the street and I'm paranoid about some sneaky Gollum coming along and flogging them.

I'm sure the 350Z boys will snap them up.

But I'm in no hurry. Unless I get a swap I've got no idea what I'd put on there to replace them.

Although something like these would be just fine ;-)

Alright. Listen here. Just because I am of a darker skin tone, I am not a sneaky gollum...... :P LOL! But in all seriousness, very nice wheels.

Anyhoo.

To give people an idea, here is the only set I have been able to find that has sold in Australia. Sold in Jan this year, similar condition but obviously these ones were a square setup for AWD - no Top Secret decals and no tyres.

RDA - slotted and dimpled

That's what i was thinking they'd be, how do you like them? I'm looking at a full set of slotted and dimpled with EBC red stuff pads for $818 which is a better price than anyone else that i've found.

they're ok - haven't really stopped the car hard - so can't really tell you, but they squeek ever so slightly at crawling speeds, and very low dust.

I have heard the dust levels off the pads i'm buying is very minimal, at least once the bedding has been done.

How many km's has the car had the rotors/pads on it for? They may not have been bedded properly if that's the case.

Mate - I got no idea how many km's. It's nothing worth worrying about.

I had R34 calipers with Project Mu pads on my Stagea and those things were like nails down a black board. Tried everything from spray to disassembling the calipers and fitting anti shim squeal glue - horrendous noise. Taught me how to engine brake pretty good though! This is nothing compared.

Top be honest, so long as the car stops I'm happy - not too concerned about brake fade under racing conditions - I'd rather have a soft touch, low dust pad that has good peddle feel and doesn't coat my rims in harmful oxidising and annoying brake dust - and these seem to fit that bill so I don't ask any more questions hahah.

nah - they're going on a Supra.

I'm on the hunt for replacements now - but in the mean time, stock rims for some stealthy, gutter bashing goodness. Might even let the girlfriend have a drive while she can't do any damage lol.

What colour? I think they would suit a supra quite well.

Haha i will never trust my girl with my car.. she drives a 1.4L Getz.. and is not the most confident driver. I've even offered for her to drive mine before but she declined.

    • The Frenchy's kit is the way to go forward. A modern compressor that weighs about 1/2 as much, is at least twice as efficient, and will do a good job on R134a. And of course the kit has everything else you need to connect it up and have it work properly.
    • Hey all , I am in the process of having the AC system in my r32 GTST converted from r12 to r134a and I’m being told my compressor has gone bad and I will need a new one. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for what is the best route to go aside from dropping $1500 on a new oem one? I did see that Frenchy’s performance garage offers a kit to mount a Toyota compressor, has anybody actually used this kit on their car? Or is there anywhere I could purchase just a clutch? Any help is appreciated.
    • Well, your RB20 ECU loom won't have wires for the boost solenoid, that boost sensor, and possibly one or two other things. There could be differences in seemingly random things like the charcoal canister purge solenoid, because the 25DET has to handle boost in the vacuum system and the 20DE does not. I don't know - I haven't looked. It is very likely that all the most important things are same-same, being the main sensors like AFM, CAS, etc, and the injectors and ignition. Not that you'll need the AFM for the Haltech anyway. I would suggest that you would seriously want to sit down with the pinouts for both ECUs and just go through them and highlight green what is the same, orange what is different/missing, and make a plan from there. It's not going to be difficult. It will either be the same or need to be fixed.
    • yeaaa that's why I haven't done any wiring to the stock ecu harness because I have the haltech, but then that leads me to the other question of "is the pnp harness really plug and play?" or would I have to still switch some pins/wires over because the pnp is for the rb25det neo harness, and not for the rb20de neo harness. was really hoping to find something to spoon feed me since so many people have done rb20neo + t conversions, but man this is rough.
    • Temu raptor, lol. At least the owner isn't your typical ranger danger lot
