HI everyone

I got my hands on what ha so far been a perfect first import for me.. A 1995 r33 gtst series 1

Has only a few mods as follows

Jazma 3 inch exhuast turbo back

Greddy front mount '

split fire coils

upgraded fuel pump ( not sure but its damn loud )

apexi boost controller

apexi pod

now my problem is the setting up of the boost controller, Ive fiddled with it a bit to make it better but the last owner really didnt kno what he was doing, as such the damn thing spikes to 1.3 bar which i kno isnt good for the stock turb, basically hes played with it without knowing what hes changed.... Ive set it to .75 bar and the turbo duty to 60% but still this thing has major spikes which makes the car lurk when I get on it... right now Ive turned it off and am running stock wastegate pressure... for fear of breaking something..

recently replaced and re gapped the plugs to .8 and has helped a bit, but i think the avcr isnt set up properly, it also has no idea what gear or revs im doing as its display numbers are way off... as My knowledge is very limited I'd like to kno the best place for me to take my car too? $$$ isnt a concern Id just like it running alot better then what it should!!

thank you muchly to whoever can help!

drop your duty cycle down even more

start about 20% or so with the targetted boost at say 0.7bar and keep adjusting the duty cycle till it just barely spikes or lower it more if you want to boost to come on slower

1.3bar on a stock turbo? wow...

you know you can adjust it for different gears, should set it up on a dyno , should not cost much to do a couple of 4th gear pulls.

wouldnt hurt to have the fuel mixtures checked anyway.

then you can just add some extra duty for the low gears,
