Hey guys just wondering if anyone else has had a leaking problem on the attachments for car? mine has had this problem since i got it but as i park underground and it only seems to happen when its parked in a big down pour it hasn't been an issue but i wouldn't mind fixing it anyways.. Any suggestions?

Yes.

Suggestion would be to silicone the hell out of it or remove them and bog up the holes (what I will be doing).

This only is an issue on non-Northshore Prestige cars due to lazy workmanship when installing the roof anchor points.

Why not use the other points on the floor?

Thanks mate, i was wondering if they were something added here during compliance. And i know the guys who complied mine were super dodgy. So many things i know they are meant to do that they didnt. Guess this weekend will include this job now.

Still trying to get a reasonable price on the replacement panels so if you are removing them I will let you know what I come up with (my Nissan dealership couldn't believe the price their system came up with :()

I removed the brackets and used silicone to seal the holes, no leaks now.

Definitely dodgy compliance, and even worse, you pay them to rape your car in the name of safety. lol.

I'll pulled mine out, sent em back to Canberra anonymously telling them to stick it up their cake hole. I then cleaned up the holes, rust proofed them, siliconed and replaced the plastic trim. First mod I did on my previous Axis and this one.

Yes because you'll be using them now Cam...

The ones in the floor are cargo restraints, not the child tether/latch ones.. Please, please, please do not use them... If you are in an accident, the legal ramifications are not worth thinking about... Same issue as using an isofix or EU approved child seat in AUS.. Please just don't do it... It's like the ADR's BS regulations to protect "Australian Interests"

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel, and potentially the EU regs will be allowed from 2014.

I loved the ISOFIX mounts. Had it in my Mazda 3 and worked much better then the stone age ADR approved anchor point/belt combo...

Protecting local interest sounds about right.
