R32 Gtr Turbos...

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the n1 rebuild turbos? I have to replace mine as they went pop.

If not ill make my bank cry and get -7's.

New Rebuilt???

Cooma Diesel rebuild turbos. They are in Fyshwick, not the cheapest in Australia but local.

Good call. These guys are directly connected to Garret.

It'll cost $60 to tell you if they are worth rebuilding.

My R34 N1's weren't when I had them tested through Cooma Diesel.

Cost to fix was same cost as new.

So I went new -7's

After a chat with Ult tunes ive found out it really isn't worth the n1 rebuild... Im going the -7's... God damn this rebuild! Brings it up to 16k....

A little advice

Dont baby it too much BUT keep an eye on all the vitals.

Temp, Oil Pressure, Check oil level and quality and Radiator level at least for the month.

Replace the engine oil a few times over the first month. After the first week and last week is good.

Check for metal, fuel and impurities.

Keep an eye on any Knock sensor readings

Open your bonnet after each outing for the first week just so if anything isnt right you pick it up early.

Loose IC piping or water/fuel/oil lines, fine sprays of water or oil leaks.

I'm probably over the top and "anal" but it may just save some future heartache and/or being stranded somewhere.

And as much as it'd be nice to get rid of them, you don't want the GT-RS's unless you've got a stroker motor.

People bag them but with the right setup they are awesome. Without it they are epicly crap.
