I'm 6'1. When I sit in the driver's, my head touches the roof (I have an factory sunroof). I have the stock seat. I'd like to go track day and drag but cannot as I can't fit in with a helmet.

Anyone else experience this problem? How did you overcome it?

Note: I do NOT want to drive "Burwood style" - ie: seat back like you're almost lying down...

I'm about 5'11 and not tooo far from the roof, you tried adjusting the seat (lower and raise) with the 2 knobs on the side of the seat. Other than that u can change the rails on the seat to make it lower. But i love "burwood style" :P

so that's what those knobs do!

Nah I've made it as low as possible to no avail...

I don't mind having to buy a race seat, so long as it's as comfy as the stock GTS-t seat and makes me sit lower without having to go Burwood style.

im a good 6'5 with an r32 gtr and fit in with no problems without being burwood style... but the gtr seat is basically sitting on the floor of the car so it would have extra room over the gtst... when sitting in the car ive got maybe almost an inch between the roof and my head... havnt tried sitting in it with a helmet on yet... maybe look into getting some gtr seat rails and seats? :P

Like i PMed you, i'm about 6'1" and my head rubs the roof on my 180sx with r32 seat. I might have a closer look at the seat rail and see if it would be easy for me to get modified to sit lower. Of course i'd love a Bride or Recaro but performance is #1 at the moment.

dont have a r32 but am 6'2 and have had to replace the seat due to my knees ending up around my arm pits, i think its got something to do with japanese people being a slightly shorter people, maybe this shows the evolution of the japanese people, over the years thier legs have got longer and thier torsos shorter.. :jk:

6'4 and I have a set of recaro's in there.

I can't sit up straight the way i want to so i have to slope it back a bit and wearing a helmet is even worse. Plus i have a full cage in there so people don't fit in there very nicely, but you get use to it ;)

I'm 6'2" and have heaps of trouble fitting in the gtr with a helmet on. we've got race seats and they are bolted directly to the floor no rails, the problem is there is a crossmember on the floor which limits how low you can mount the seats ;)

For those taller people who fit OK you may well be tilting your seat back too far.....

6'3" in r32 gts-t, stock seats, no sunroof, no probs. I have about an inch between the top of my head and the roof. I have the steering wheel as high as it will go and asfar back as it will go with my seat in a comfortable position, not lent too far back so i still have back support.

Sunroof takes about 2 inches out of the equation though :) You want to try sitting in an s13 with a sunroof, thats really bad.

6'1", R32 GTS, and also no sunroof... and i agree, with a helemt it may get a bit tight, but im generallly ok... but have long legs/arms, so seat way back no probs, and lent a little more back than in other cars, but its that style of ****pit anyway.

actually, i seem to have more trouble with bumping head on side of windows surround when cornering a bit hard.

i'm about 6' - 6'1"

R32 GTS-T, no sunroof. I sit pretty upright, had no trouble with stock seats. probably due to lack of sunroof. I have a R33 GT-R driver's seat now, and I fit in the car perfect with helmet on and 4 point racing harness sitting very upright for circuit. may sell the seat soon tho, thinking of going for a full bucket if my bro gets a car (hence my car won't be a daily driver anymore)..

6'2", R32 GTS-t, no sunroof and don't have any head clearance problems. I find the car just right inside, I sit quite upright with the seat height set low at the back and higher at the front, my knees do come a little close to the steering wheel in this position, but it's the comfiest seating position, so I don't care!!
