Most stands are opposite a big screen which keeps you up to date - although some are a bit hard to hear (Clarke stand!).

However, you can buy headphone things that double as a protector of your ear drums and also have the commentary. They are around $50.

These things:

Do they to those types of things if you are overseas as well?

That's pretty cool!

First time to an F1 event... Do you guys recommend getting earplugs? Is it that much louder than the V8's?

Can't wait to check out the action!

yes they do these things overseas as well but not always as a combined earmuff thing. sometimes it's just a portable radio with headphones, not hearing protection.

Best way is to get a pair of black ear muffs (best industrial ones) for around 20-30 bucks and then get a cheap pocket radio with ear bud headphones. slip the ear buds in before you put the ear muffs on and tune in to the radio station that has the commentary.

McLaren and Vodafone have confirmed they will part ways at the end of this season amidst rumours that Telmex could become the team's title sponsor.

Having left Ferrari at the end of 2006, telecommunications giant Vodafone switched their allegiance - and finances - to McLaren in 2007.

However, that relationship will conclude at the end of this year's Championship as Vodafone has 'decided to focus on business priorities away from Formula One sponsorship.'

Team boss Martin Whitmarsh said: "We're immensely proud that, having been set a number of ambitious challenges by Vodafone back in 2007, together we've met or exceeded each and every one.

"Our focus is on continuing to drive results for all our partners throughout the 2013 season and we look forward to making a major title partnership announcement towards the end of the year."

McLaren added that while they 'will not disclose' their new title sponsor, an 'exciting announcement' will be made on 2nd December 2013.

And already reports are claiming that Mexican telcom Telmex will replace Vodafone given the team's new driver, Sergio Perez, who is backed by Telmex.
