Jenson Button says Sergio Perez needs to "calm down" before his "dirty" driving results in "something serious" happening."I was so angry and you have to be careful," Button told the Telegraph. "Being in Formula One for so long, you learn how to control your anger, but you still get close to your limit and it was one of those days.

"I'm not used to driving along a straight and having a team-mate coming alongside me and wiggling his wheels at me, and banging wheels at 300 kilometres an hour.

"That isn't normally the way I go racing. Maybe it's the way we go racing now, but it's not the way I want to. He touched me from behind and he touched me on the side going in a straight line at 300 kilometres an hour. That's dangerous.

"I've had some tough fights in F1, but not quite as dirty as that. Something serious will happen soon, so he has to calm down."

Helmut Marko has backed Sebastian Vettel in the 'Multi21' affair, saying it's points and not friends that count in F1."A driver sometimes begins to develop his own character. This is not always easy but it's a must," Marko told the Bild am Sonntag.

"Sebastian is not a politician who has to win an election.

"In F1 you don't count your friends; only your points."

marko and di montezemolo are as bad as each other, only pipe up when something good happens to the team

cowards and frauds the both of them

Well listening to the race commentary & interviews last night (yeah I know I cbf'd watching it Sunday) Webber basically said Marko placed the Porsche story in the media.

So I would suggest Marko is worse in that he appears to be actively trying to undermine one of the teams drivers. Why do they employ that clown?

Damn its hard avoiding any Formula 1 talk while I'm out at work till I get home to see the race

Now I can join the conversation too late..... Wooooo :)

Bit more exciting race, lots of action. Lotus doing a good job, Grosjean starting to show his true potential.

James Allen and Brundle both said similar things either in teh press or over the coverage.

He seems a destructive force, and credit to Mark for hanging around to spite the guy. But that has to take up some of his energy, mental capacity and interfere with him just getting on with the job.

In a seperate report i read that post Malaysia Seb had been in the factory with time with Horner and the team apologising. Webber had been in the simulator and got an sms from Horner...saying "If you around swing by and say hello and we will grab a coffee"

I dont think Webber and Horner have a real problem. I think that success breeds power and the Marko - Vettel combo with RBR money rule the roost. Dietrich seems a stand up guy that likes Webber and a certain culture....but is so far removed from the RBR operation that the power he delegates to Marko means he controls the gold, and he who controls the gold makes the rules.

Its funny ,the past few weeks much has been said by accomplished motorsport / F1 journos if you pay for their publications. Interesting snippets at how RBR is a rather political place to be working and only bound by their success. Should that go...well.

Pirelli will change their hard compound tyres ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix following a consultation with the Formula One teams.

Several teams have expressed dissatisfaction with this year's more aggressive compounds with reigning World Champions Red Bull leading the call for change.

However, others have come out in support of Pirelli's motorsport director Paul Hembery recently revealing that eight of the 11 outfits are against major changes.

As such, and after deliberation back in Milan, the Italian tyre manufacturer has decided to change only the hard compound tyres.

"After evaluating tyre performance over the balance of the first four races, we took the decision - in consultation with all of the teams - to change the hard compound from Spain onwards, as we did in Barcelona two years ago when we also introduced a new hard tyre for the rest of the season," Hembery said.

"This latest version of the hard compound is much closer to the 2012 tyre, with the aim of giving the teams more opportunity to run a wider range of strategies in combination with the other compounds, which remain unchanged."

The updated hard compound will be in action for the first time at the Spanish GP where the medium tyres will also be in use.

One race later, Monaco, it will be the soft and supersoft tyres while in Canada the drivers will race on the medium and supersoft tyres.

Michael Schumacher will be back behind the wheel of an F1 car on May 19th when the German drives the historic Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit.

Schumacher will drive the team's 2011 F1 car, the W02, around the legendary German track next month as part of the build-up to this year's Nurburgring 24 Hours.

"I have a lot of fond memories of the Nurburgring and am really looking forward to giving fans and friends from my home town of Kerpen - which is quite close to the Nurburgring - something to remember as they see me drive by," he said.

"But it will be a fantastic experience for me too, driving along the Nordschleife in a state-of-the-art Formula One Silver Arrow, particularly in view of the fact that the Silver Arrow's legend began here.

"Posting a lap in a modern Silver Arrow on the most beautiful and most testing circuit in the world, what a brilliant mix - it's every motor racing driver's dream!"

Thailand is making progress with its plans to hold an inaugural Formula 1 race in 2015 after local authorities approved the layout for the proposed Bangkok track this week.

The Sports Authority of Thailand met on Thursday to discuss the concept, and confirmed that a 5.995 kilometre circuit would be created near the Royal Thai Naval Dockyard in Bangkok.

The circuit will run past several major tourist destinations, including the Grand Palace, the Temple of Dawn and Victory Monument.

Final approval for the track configuration is now set to go to government for sign-off within the next few months.

Thailand has been chasing the race for several years, with Red Bull a keen backer to hold a night race in the country's capital.

The event will almost certainly attract a bumper crowd, with Mark Webber having drawn 100,000 spectators to a street demo in the city back in 2010.
